CA Dem Robert Garcia's Trump Election Fraud Claims Exposed As Pure Baloney

The SAVE America Act may be the single most important piece of legislation that Congress has to deal with in this term, which makes it all the more frustrating that it's languishing in the Senate. The two primary points of the bill are 80-20 issues with the American people: Proof of citizenship to register to vote, and proof of identity (voter ID) when voting. These are measures critical to securing American elections, and without confidence in our elections, there will be no confidence in our government.

Now, Democrats are fond of accusing their opponents of what they intend to do themselves, or what they already are doing. Case in point: Representative Robert Garcia (CA-42) is issuing dire warnings about the 2026 midterm elections, claiming that the Trump administration will try to interfere with the election. There's just one problem with his claims: They are utter codswallop.

Democratic lawmakers have repeatedly voiced concerns about the Trump administration’s efforts to access voter data from many U.S. states and cited President Trump’s false claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
“There is no question that Donald Trump is going to try to interfere with our elections,” Garcia said during an interview with MS NOW. “He’s already done it. He’s already tried to steal a presidential election. He’s already tried to interfere with local registrars of voters.”

MS NOW. Go figure. And, no, he hasn't tried to interfere with local registrars. All the Trump administration has asked to do is to audit the voter registration logs. Audits already done in some jurisdictions have revealed some shocking problems: Dead people still on the voter rolls, people who have moved still on the voter rolls, and, yes, non-citizens on the voter rolls. Making sure the voter rolls are cleared of these kinds of bad entries is the very definition of securing our elections, not interfering with them.

But then, this is a political party that brazenly claims that minorities are somehow unable to procure any manner of government identification, which is, again, codswallop. If an Alaska Native living on the shores of the Bering Sea can obtain a birth certificate and a passport, then anyone living in the lower 48, anywhere, should have no trouble in doing so.

Garcia continues to shovel up the horse squeeze:

Garcia said the president will “use everything he can, every lever he has” to specifically target races with tight margins this November.
“There will be an all-out assault on our election process,” Garcia said. “It’s already starting, but we’re also preparing, and in support of the American public, are prepared for it as well.”

It's called "campaigning."

Democrats like Robert Garcia always - always - accuse Republicans of doing that which they are or have been doing themselves. Democrats have opposed every effort to secure our elections. They condescendingly claim that "people of color" are too helpless to get a government identification, despite the obvious fact that it's pretty much impossible to do anything in our modern society without some kind of identification. They screech wildly about any attempt to even examine voter rolls, even though such audits routinely reveal problems. And they maintain a knee-jerk opposition to the SAVE America Act, for no more reason than Orange Man Bad.

Democrats like Robert Garcia are precisely why the SAVE America Act has to be passed. Nothing the Senate has on its slate right now is more important than this.
