Yes, it's going to happen here. The only real questions are "where, when, and "how?"
I am referring, of course, to an attack on the United States by terror groups, like the ones that we have seen unfold, to our horror, in Moscow and, in October 2022, in Israel. Those attacks shocked the civilized world, and while they prompted calls for justice and, yes, retribution from some, they were celebrated by others, and some of those others are here, right now, in the United States.
How do I know this? Because it's already happening, albeit on a smaller scale - for now. Besides the infamous 9-11 attacks that killed almost 3,000 and injured as many as 25,000, Islamic terror attacks on United States soil in the last few years include (note: the attackers are not included in these numbers):
The 2009 Fort Hood shooting attack: 13 dead, 30 wounded
The Vaughan Foods beheading attack: 1 dead, 1 injured
The Pulse Nightclub shooting attack: 49 dead, 58 injured
The 2017 New York truck attack: 8 dead, 11 injured
The Pensacola Naval Air Station shooting attack: 3 dead, 8 injured
Compared to 9-11, these are small-scale attacks. Compared to what's coming?
I'm not the only one sounding the warning.

We are today, perhaps more vulnerable to such an attack than at any point in our history. Our southern border is effectively wide open. Not only have the gates been thrown wide, not only are we inviting people to come in illegally and rewarding them with flights to the American city of their choosing, not only are we flying people in directly from the third world, but as I've been saying for some time, we have little or no idea who many of these people are, what they did before, why they are here, where they are going or what they intend to do when they get there. It's a travesty; our borders as such no longer exist.
There have been at least five million of these people entering the country, illegally, since Joe Biden took office in 2021. (Some estimates put the figure closer to 10 million.) Not all of them are from Mexico or even Latin America in general; many are from the Middle East, Africa, China, and the Third World in general.
Our infrastructure is vulnerable. Our electrical grid is dependent on huge transformers, which can be wrecked with one or two well-placed rifle shots and which we cannot easily replace. We have only last night had an example of what a large cargo ship can do to a major bridge - and that feat could be duplicated by a smaller ship loaded with explosives. Many of our city streets are vulnerable bottlenecks. We have already seen how an unruly mob can effectively halt traffic in a major city - now consider that mob, only armed with firearms and explosives. Consider them sweeping the police aside, swarming into businesses, office buildings, and storefronts, effectively unopposed.
Consider how wide open so many of our institutions are: Schools, public buildings, concerts, theaters, and sports venues. Many of these are open-air venues, and many of the mass-shooting attacks that have been perpetrated against them failed in part because of incompetence on the part of the shooter. Imagine an attack such as was carried out against Moscow's Crocus City Hall venue by three attackers with just a modicum of training and equipment, and how much more damage could be done. It's not a pleasant thought, but it's something we need to consider, and we need to do so now.
Cyber-terrorists could hit us as well. Taking down the internet, that wondrous thing that makes modern business possible, that makes it possible for you to read these words, would cripple the United States as thoroughly as a physical attack. The financial system could be destroyed, banks wiped out, online payment information stolen, businesses shut down, and city municipal services like water, sewer, and electricity crippled.
It's going to happen. It's a fair bet that the perpetrators are already here. It's a fair bet that they have received some training and have plans, alternate plans, and more alternate plans. We need to make plans to counter them - and no, I don't mean the government needs to make plans. We need to make plans - we citizens, you and I. Our government, at least under the current administration, has shown itself to be incompetent. Our military has been hamstrung, having in a generation been transformed from the most capable, most feared fighting force in human history to a jobs program for the neurotic.
Worse still, these are just the actions possible by a small group of irregulars. Rogue nations like North Korea or Iran could hit us much harder.
It's just a matter of time. The only thing we citizens can do is arm ourselves. Fortunately, for now, we still have that right. Arm yourself. Buy ammo. Practice. Be ready. Because when this comes, when it happens, if it happens to you, it will likely be planned for a location and in such a manner that will limit any kind of response. Carry whenever and wherever you can. Stay in Condition Yellow, be aware of your surroundings at all times, and be ready.
It's going to happen. It's only a matter of how, when, and where. Get ready. And, if you can, get out of the cities.
