This is HILARIOUS!
And it’s true to the lampoon-style of “The Simpsons.”
On Thursday, the official Twitter account of “The Simpsons” released a 2-minute short, depicting President Trump attempting to bribe special counsel Robert Mueller.
It opens with Mueller being greeted by an elvish Jeff Sessions, who whisks him away in a limo, and takes him past the Trump International Hotel.
Once inside, a stern looking Mueller is greeted by Trump, who dumps a mountain of cash on him, then goes on to talk about how he gives the best bribes.
“That’s $750 million, Bob,” Trump says. “There’s never been a bigger one. I do the best bribes, everyone says so – the best! Everyone says so.”
“Mr. President, you have the right to remain silent,” Mueller says, before being interrupted by Trump saying “pardon me.”
“Oh, I’m not talking to you, I tried to pardon myself,” Trump says, to which Mueller replies, “it won’t work.”
Mueller storms out, as Trump calls after him.
A cleaning woman enters, aghast at the mountain of cash.
Trump hurries out, then the real point of the short is made.
The cleaning woman takes off her cleaning disguise, to reveal San Juan, Puerto Rico Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz.
“Finally, Puerto Rico catches a break,” she says, before beginning to vacuum up the cash.
The end of the video is an appeal to remember Puerto Rico, still in need of help after being ravaged by Hurricane Maria in September 2017.
Watch the video for yourself.
