As I’ve mentioned before there was a (probably) apocryphal story about the British cavalry officer who was so stupid that even the horses had begun to take note. The literary equivalent of that took place on CNN on Monday.
Allegedly, Don Lemon was interviewing a black pastor, Pastor Bill Owens from the Coalition of African-American Pastors. This is the story as told by our own Sister Toldjah: Video: CNN’s Don Lemon Grows Visibly Agitated As Black Pastor Refuses To Take His ‘Trump Is Racist’ Bait.
I say allegedly, because, as far as I know, there is no evidence anyone not in an airport terminal has ever been exposed to Don Lemon. As Sister Toldjah said, Lemon gets agitated as Pastor Owens refuses to stay on the plantation and condemn Trump as a racist. That Lemon is stupid and a shill is not news to anyone. That CNN, long ago, abandoned any pretense of being a news channel in favor of leftwing agitprop is, likewise, documented. What made the Lemon interview so amazing was that even other media outlets noticed the blatant partisanship. Here is Newsweek, keep in mind Newsweek employs Kurt “really, I was discussing tentacle porn with my wife and kids” Eichenwald.
In the segment Monday, host Don Lemon asked Reverend Bill Owens, founder and president of the coalition of African American Pastors, to comment on the closed door meeting he and 19 other black faith leaders had with Trump, after the president criticized Congressman Elijah Cummings.
The Chyron read: “CNN Alert: President Hosts African American Pastors And Faith Leaders At The White House.”
“What did the president say about his attacks against these leaders of color and did any of the faith leaders raise concerns about that?” Lemon said.
The Chyron switched accordingly to: “CNN alert: POTUS Meets With African American Faith Leaders In The Wake Of His Attacks Against Leaders Of Color.”
And when Owens refused to take the racism bait, Lemon changed the subject to Owens’s Scripture-based opposition to homosexual marriage (such as the one Lemon in embroiled in):
At that moment, the Chyron switched to “CNN Alert: “Controversial African American Pastor Meets With President.”
When @donlemon realized he wouldn’t be able to get his guest to criticize Trump, the chyron changed from “faith leaders” to “controversial pastor.” This is really gross, @CNN. https://t.co/Kw4XvVxxYw

That is really an amazing little detail you noticed.
Lemon's producers referred to him as part of "African American faith leaders" until he wouldn't play ball. Then they switched the chyron to "Controversial faith leader"
How hollow is CNN's adherence to any kind of standard? https://t.co/D63fMySPFx
