We have reached the point where TMZ is breaking political news on the Mueller investigation.
Kristin Davis, the Manhattan Madam who went to prison and was connected to former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, is being subpoenaed in the Robert Mueller investigation … TMZ has learned.
Davis worked for former Trump aide Roger Stone for a decade, and had numerous interactions with Stone and Andrew Miller — who ran Davis’ campaign for Governor and who was subpoenaed by Mueller a month ago.
CNN, the Banana Network (so-called because they are right behind the Food Network in ratings), claims no subpoena has been issued but Mueller’s posse wants to “talk” to Davis. But, being CNN, it looks like it mucked this up, too.

The "Manhattan Madam" who boasted of providing prostitutes to New York's rich and famous says someone in Robert Mueller's office called to see if she would accept a subpoena or if the FBI would need to serve it to her. https://t.co/L99Bxi7hce

NEW: Roger Stone responds to Mueller subpoena of his former employee 'Manhattan Madam'

What does this mean? It means that Roger Stone, who is the godfather of Davis’s kid, is still under investigation. Because they are talking to Davis, it is real safe to assume that at least part of the investigation has zero to do with anything concerning Russia or the 2016 campaign. Which means Mueller is continuing to target people close to Trump in the hope that one of them will give up something he can package as “impeachable” before he closes up shop.
