This was probably inevitable but if you live by the sword you die by the sword.

A couple of leftwing advocacy groups filed an ethics complaint against House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes for allegedly divulging classified information. The allegations are bullsh** on their face but the Office of Congressional Ethics agreed to take up the complaint and Nunes was forced to step aside as committee chairman for the purposes of the Russia probe. This was simply a brush back pitch aimed at Nunes because he seemed interested in getting to the bottom of the only firm allegations of illegality and misconduct made thus far: Michael Flynn’s name and conversation was leaked and Susan Rice engaged in political espionage.

Now Judicial Watch has entered the battle.

Judicial Watch today sent a hand-delivered letter to the chairman and co-chairman of the House Office of Congressional Ethics calling for an investigation into whether Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Jackie Speier (D-CA) “disclosed classified information to the public in violation of House ethics rules.”

If the standard for filing a complaint or opening an ethics investigation is that a member has commented publicly on matters that touch on classified information, but the member does not reveal the source of his or her information, then the complaints against Chairman Nunes are incomplete insofar as they target only Nunes. At least two other members of the House Intelligence Committee have made comments about classified material that raise more directly the very same concerns raised against Chairman Nunes because they appear to confirm classified information contained in leaked intelligence community intercepts.

Judicial Watch is correct. If the Nunes standard is used, then Schiff, in particular, should be investigated. If standards of humanity were covered, Schiff would already be dismissed from the House for felonious douchebaggery.

The difference being that the OCE won’t take these cases, because they involve Democrats, and if they do take them, there is no way that Schiff steps aside as Ranking Member.
