It's Tuesday evening, and so we're back — with primaries and runoffs and mayoral races, oh my! This latest election day features an interesting combination, both in terms of geography and the types of races involved.
In Alabama, we've got the U.S. Senate runoff races, both for the Democrats and the Republicans. While there's no guarantee, odds are whoever snags the Republican nomination will be favored to win in November — will it be Trump-endorsed Rep. Barry Moore (AL-01)? Or former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson?

California has a special election for good ol' Eric Swalwell's recently vacated seat in CA-14. The winner of today's race will serve out the rest of Swalwell's term. Will it be the same showing as two weeks ago (for the November election)? And how long will it take them to count for this one? 🤨
In D.C., it's the mayoral primary — to see who'll be replacing Muriel Bowser in that role.
Georgia's got a lot going on today, with runoff elections for Governor (GOP), Lieutenant Governor (Dem and GOP), Secretary of State (Dem and GOP), the House seat for the 11th District (GOP), and U.S. Senate (GOP). The biggest nail-biter there is the Senate runoff, featuring Rep. Mike Collins (GA-10) versus former football coach Derek Dooley, to see which of the two will face off against Democrat Senator Jon Ossoff, the incumbent, in November. (President Trump has endorsed Collins.) And then, for the Governor's race, Lt. Gov. Burt Jones (who's received endorsements both from Trump and current Gov. Brian Kemp) is up against billionaire healthcare executive Rick Jackson.
In Oklahoma, the Governor's race features five contenders, so that one may be headed for a runoff as well. And there's the Senate primary to determine who will snag the GOP nomination to replace the seat recently vacated by now-Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
