Harvard Fools Around, Defies Trump Over DEI and Antisemitism—Finds Out It's Really, Really Expensive
I've been reporting on similar stories in recent months, and one thing has struck me: the unbelievable amount of federal dollars that are poured annually into these institutions.
Left-Wingers Are Now Coming for Your Dogs Because All Joy Must Be Crushed
Let me be clear. We aren't eating the bugs, and we aren't getting rid of our dogs.
Stephen Miller May Be Trump's Greatest Asset, Certainly a MAGA Hero
Regardless of if you love or hate him, you have to respect his ability to get things done for the president.

Cringe Ensues After Syracuse Police Claim Uzi Submachine Gun Handed Over At Buyback
This is a case of an officer who doesn't remotely know what he's talking about, but told the reporter what it supposedly was with some degree of authority, only to be wrong and probably wrong on multiple levels.
FO: Trump Frees Harvard ... From Federal Funding (Plus Irony From Obama)
Put all colleges and universities on the Hillsdale plan.
Do You Know Why the Beatified MS-13 'Maryland Father' Was 'Mistakenly' Deported?
If DOJ officials had sent him to another country, such as Guatemala with which we have a third-party agreement, we likely wouldn’t be having this issue right now, and St. Abrego would have disappeared into the ether — maybe even with his family in tow.
CNN Was Forced to Say This After Trump's Oval Office Event Yesterday. It's Pure Comedy.
Once again, we're reminded why the media is mocked and distrusted.
For whatever crazy reason, commenters recognize the Democrats are dead set on being the MS-13 party.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
All these breaks the critters take make for limited reporting opportunities in this section. Perhaps that's a blessing in disguise, but I love following along with their hearings and hijinks, so eagerly await their return...in 13 days.
In the meantime, the National Republican Congressional Committee raked in an impressive $36.7 million in the first quarter of 2025 — which is good. Because they're going to need to be well-funded to stave off the Democrats in the midterms.
White House What's Up
President Donald Trump is set to have lunch with Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday. After that, he'll sign executive orders, then participate "in a Commander-in-Chief Trophy Presentation to the Navy Midshipmen - the United States Naval Academy" — hopefully, this trophy will remain intact.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will hold a briefing at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.
Full Court Press...
Remember those civil cases former First Son Hunter Biden had going in California? Well, one is being appealed to the 9th Circuit now. Garrett Ziegler (who founded the nonprofit organization Marco Polo) is appealing the denial of his motion to dismiss and the award to Biden of attorney fees.
Also, in case you missed them yesterday, I published a new Skinny on SCOTUS — look for another installment in the next day or two — and introduced a new feature, "The Evening Docket," providing a quick rundown of developments in the multitude of cases involving the Trump administration.
COMING ATTRACTIONS
It looks like the Supreme Court will be handing down more opinions on Thursday. We'll be keeping an eye on developments on the trade front as well as potential peace talks involving Russia and Ukraine — maybe even Iran.
MORNING MUSING
Happy Tax Day, all. I well remember when the Tax Cut and Jobs Act was passed during the first Trump administration — you know, the bill that was all about helping out the uber-rich, not us little guys. The following year, I did a quick back-of-the-napkin comparison between my 2017 and 2018 taxes, and sure as shootin', I reaped some of those benefits, too. So, of course, I'd love to see the TCJA made permanent before it expires this year. I'm optimistic this Congress will find a way to get that done.
But what would be even greater is if, in the process of overhauling and efficient-izing the federal government, they could find a way to revamp the whole thing — do away with taxing income and capital gains and get us to something akin to taxing consumption, a la the Fair Tax. Hey, a girl can dream, right?
