While the Biden administration has been steadfast in its insistence that the southern border is secure, encouraging us all to trust them, not our lyin’ eyes, thousands of immigrants have been illegally streaming across the border – more than at any other time in our nation’s history. And that’s only going to increase when Title 42 restrictions are lifted on May 11th.
Meanwhile, blue-city mayors are squawking about a few thousand immigrants bussed or flown into their sanctuary enclaves from border towns and states — places that are virtually overflowing with the masses of migrants that have been pouring in since Joe Biden took office and put the virtual welcome mat on our southern doorstep.
The good news is that the Biden administration is finally taking some action to address the issue. No, they’re not extending Title 42 restrictions or re-upping the Remain in Mexico policy. Instead, the administration is now set to send 1,500 active-duty troops to the border in the coming days – not to assist in law enforcement, mind you, but to serve in mostly administrative roles. But don’t worry – they’ll be armed. For self-defense. Because administrating apparently can be dangerous – at our totally secure, not at all about to be overrun with a massive surge of immigrants at the border.
Trust ‘em – they’ve got everything under control.
