Moore to the Point - The Long and Short of It

I don’t know if you already knew this, but Ron DeSantis wears cowboy boots. I know. It’s scandalous. For many, I suspect it’s a presidential deal-breaker. I mean, assuming he throws his metaphorical 10-Gallon hat into the ring, his footwear choice should…well…boot him right back out of it.

As my RedState colleague Sister Toldjah detailed on Tuesday, American Bridge President Pat Dennis is perturbed by DeSantis’ boot-wearing, and is certain it’s deliberate chicanery intended to fool everyone into believing DeSantis is taller than he actually is.

I don’t know how tall Ron DeSantis is. Some sites list him at 5’9”, while others put him at 5’11”. I will note that photos of him standing next to Joe and Jill Biden (reportedly 5’ 11.5” and 5’6”, respectively) make 5’11” appear more likely, but the bigger question is who actually cares?

Is he kicking puppies with those boots? Or progressive sacred cows? From what I’ve seen, it’s the latter and I suspect it’s the fact that DeSantis is willing to go toe-to-toe with the woke left that has people like Pat Dennis and his fellow travelers stomping their feet over his anticipated White House run. Regardless of his measured height, DeSantis’ leadership style puts him head and shoulders above anyone that the Dems are likely to field.
