The device was located in a UPS dropbox, according to a statement from the Department of Homeland Security, which has an ICE field office at 925 Keynote Circle:
"On June 15, 2026, Federal Protective Service was conducting a sweep of a publicly accessible lobby at a ICE office building in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio. During the sweep, a K-9 alerted to a suspicious package in a UPS drop box," a spokesperson said.
"FPS immediately contacted local law enforcement and initiated a full evacuation of the facility as a precaution. The FBI, ATF, and local law enforcement arrived on the scene in coordination with FPS. The situation has been resolved and all clear has been given to reoccupy the building."
In a statement to Fox News Digital, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) described the scene as a "hazardous device incident."
Fortunately, no one was hurt.

As RedState reported, it was, as usual, a pretty dangerous day for ICE officers in other parts of the country as well, with one agent being struck by a suspect's vehicle in Manahawkin, New Jersey, on Monday morning. The agent was able to fire shots at the vehicle, but the suspect managed to get away. The agent was being treated at a local hospital, and a manhunt is underway for the Peruvian illegal alien identified as Friedrich Castillo-Ormeno, who DHS says came here under the Biden-Harris administration.
"There is a pattern of vehicle attacks against our officers," ICE wrote in a statement on X. "Our law enforcement officers are facing a 3,300% increase in vehicle attacks against them."
