Pramila Jayapal's Week Goes From Bad to Worse After Statement on Murdered Israeli Embassy Staffers

As RedState reported, the fabulously based Secretary of State Marco Rubio gave woke Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) the verbal smackdown she deserved Wednesday during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing in heated exchanges over the United States moving to revoke the visas for terrorist sympathizers.

In one back-and-forth, Rubio rejected Jayapal's attempt at shaming him over revoking one student's visa because the woman wrote an op-ed urging the country to join the antisemitic BDS movement, which in essence would give support to Hamas terrorists like the ones who murdered over 1,000 Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023, and took hundreds more hostage.

"And we're going to do more of them. We are going to revoke the visa of anyone who's in the country as a guest who's here to stir up trouble," Rubio stated, adding, "I'm looking to get crazy people out of our country."

One crazy extremist who unfortunately was in our country was Chicago native Elias Rodriguez, who is the suspect in the murders of two Israeli Embassy staffers, engaged couple Sarah Milgram and Yaron Lischinsky, who were killed in what's being described as an antisemitic attack in Washington, D.C., Wednesday night as they left the Capital Jewish Museum.

Rodriguez, who is said to be a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, reportedly yelled "Free, free Palestine!" as he was detained by police and led away in handcuffs. In what is believed to be his manifesto, Rodriguez allegedly wrote of the Israel-Hamas war, "Those of us against the genocide take satisfaction in arguing that the perpetrators and abetters have forefeited their humanity."

Naturally, statements are pouring in from elected officials after the horrific attack, with many on both sides of the political aisle condemning the murders.

Jayapal's short statement, on the other hand, was something else:

The killing of two people outside an @ajcglobal event is senseless, unacceptable violence. I condemn it absolutely. Antisemitism is wrong. Full stop.  My heart goes out to all those affected.

Understandably, her critics weren't buying it:

Jayapal, as RedState readers will recall, has repeatedly taken a "blame the victim" stance when it comes to attacks against Israel, even declaring just five months before the Hamas terrorist attacks and at a Netroots Nation event where "free Palestine" agigators were present that "We have been fighting to make it clear that Israel is a racist state."

In other words, Jayapal is part of the problem on issues like these, not the solution. Unfortunately, she keeps being sent back to Congress, something which reflects just as poorly on a majority of voters in her district as her self-serving statements do on her.
