As RedState previously reported, Democrats and the mainstream media have absolutely lost their minds over Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's massive Madison Square Garden rally.
Among the most disgraceful reactions from left/press in the aftermath of the successful Sunday gathering were remarks from Democrat vice presidential nominee Tim Walz.
Not surprisingly, Walz echoed smears from the likes of twice-failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, telling a Nevada audience that, "There’s a direct parallel to a big rally that happened in the mid-1930s at Madison Square Garden.”
Though he didn't elaborate on how he came to that conclusion, it was a rather odd statement to make considering the significant Jewish presence at the event, where Israeli flags were prominently displayed.

They were comments that were, in my opinion, reminiscent of Clinton's "basket of deplorables" insult, which she later apologized for and at one point suggested after the election was over was one reason for her humiliating defeat in 2016.
Walz's remarks were the type that are hard for a candidate for public office to walk back once they've made them. But, incredibly, the Minnesota governor doesn't even seem to want to, as evidenced by his non-answers to several questions posed about what he said.
Watch below as Walz is asked three different times by a Wisconsin reporter Monday if he stands by what he alleged. Walz looks uncomfortable the entire time and tries dodging over and over but never takes back any of what he said:
"Look, I'm comparing it to the hate that came out of this, and I think they confirmed that."

When you watch that, keep in mind that a speech Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris will be giving later in the day Tuesday will reportedly revolve around "unity." And yet her choice of running mate has no issues with equating supporters of their opponents to Nazis and even doubled down on them when he was asked if he really believed any of the nonsense he spewed.

To make it worse, to my knowledge, Harris hasn't been asked to disavow what Walz said nor has she offered up one of her own, which tells me she apparently has no issue with his comments.
As far as I'm concerned, the Trump campaign should splice all of Walz's statements (and Clinton's, too) on this issue and run them on a loop from now until November 5th just to remind any voters who are sitting on the fence of what the Democrat presidential ticket thinks of half of this country. It truly is one of those "defining moments" in a presidential campaign and one that should be soundly - unequivocally, in fact - rejected at the ballot box a week from now.
