New CNN-Driven Attack on Rittenhouse Judge Ripped Outta the Peak Stupid Playbook

That the prosecution in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial has undercut their own case a number of times since the start of the trial is not being disputed even by some on the left who were eager to see Rittenhouse sent to the fryer or at least to prison for a long time for some strange reason.

But it’s because of that uncomfortable truth that the left and the media (but I repeat myself) are now proceeding to attack the judge in the case (Bruce Schroeder), in part, because he’s repeatedly admonished the prosecution and because he allegedly has the “God Bless the USA” song as a ringtone on his phone (a song that was played at Trump rallies). But it’s mostly just because the prosecution has just done a garbage job of proving their case to the jury, which has caused a LOT of heartbreak in leftist circles.

While yesterday’s ringtone attack was about as dumb as it gets, today’s attack on Judge Schroeder just may take the cake. And very few reading this will be shocked to find out that today’s attack was inarguably driven by “reporters” at CNN.

It started with a video tweet from CNN reporter Kyung Lah, who apparently is covering the trial for the network. In her tweet, she provided a quick recap of comments made by Schroeder shortly before lunchtime regarding a timeline for the arrival of the Asian food that had presumably been ordered for him and members of the court. “I hope the Asian food isn’t coming.. isn’t on one of those boats from Long Beach Harbor,” he stated:

The insinuation behind Lah’s tweet could not have been more clear. Schroeder (supposedly) made a derogatory comment about Asian cuisine/people. Gasp! Racism! Anti-Asian attack!

And for those who didn’t get the insinuation at first, CNN field producer Julia Vargas Jones made sure to translate it into a form of woke-speak (Lah also made sure to retweet her colleague for emphasis):

Got that? The MEDIA is outraged, folks, and because they are OUTRAGED then, of course, you need to be, too.

Except it was pretty obvious what the judge was actually quipping about, as former CNN producer turned media critic Steve Krakauer pointed out:

Nothing to do with race, nothing to do with the food. But don’t tell the wokesters at CNN that, because if they can’t get you fauxtraged about something then they aren’t doing the jobs they were hired to do.

It goes without saying that if it had been an actual anti-Asian attack then it would have legitimately been cause for outrage. But it wasn’t. I mean he obviously called it “Asian” food because it was, well, Asian food. But what he was actually saying would have been the same had he been talking about a cheeseburger and french fries. It was not about race, but the supply chain crisis.

But I guess we’ve now reached a point in this country where you literally cannot even say the words “black” “Hispanic” “Asian” etc. unless you bat for the “correct” team politically and are a card-carrying member of the Virtue Signalers of America Support Group.

Trust in media institutions has plummeted over the last few years for a variety of reasons, and crap “reporting” like this is one of them. People are sick and tired, just fed up, with the 24-7 media-driven outrage cycles so much so that many of them have become numb to such reports and simply shrug when they see them now and think “I bet this is fake.”

While that’s an okay attitude to have when the report is obviously erroneous or overblown, like this one was, that’s not good when there actually are instances of anti-Asian hatred reported.

That’s another casualty of the media’s quest to pin their woke creds on their jackets like badges of honor. People have become so desensitized to fake news that many don’t stop and contemplate stories that are actually real. That hurts actual victims of anti-Asian hate, the very people reporters proclaim to want to help.

In reality, woke creds are not a substitute for real reporting, something that is undoubtedly hard for reporters at CNN to understand considering the fact that CNN is not a real news organization.
