President Biden tried to kill the National Garden of American Heroes by revoking the project through an executive order in 2021, but President Trump is delivering anyway.
Trump, in a Truth Social post on Friday, announced that statues honoring notable Americans will be erected in a prime location in Washington, D.C., as the nation gears up to celebrate its 250th birthday.
"I am proud to announce the site of the NATIONAL GARDEN OF AMERICAN HEROES," the President wrote. "This magnificent exhibition of statues will be located in West Potomac Park, which we are transforming into one of the World's most beautiful public spaces."
Not quite sure how, but liberals will almost certainly go apoplectic over the announcement. Because nothing quite says fAsCIsM like statues honoring American heroes ... or something.
Trump has selected a scenic, prime waterfront site along the Potomac River near the National Mall in Washington, D.C., for his championed project. He described plans to make the garden a "world-class masterpiece" and declared it would be "yet another one of my great projects."
Gardens, and ballrooms, and reflecting pools, oh my! Not to mention big, beautiful arches.
Breaking news: President Trump said his administration had selected Washington’s West Potomac Park as the site of his planned “National Garden of American Heroes,” raising questions about whether Congress would need to approve the project. https://t.co/zrTKAh3U7F

Having made his mark in the high-stakes world of real estate development, President Trump knows that even the most iconic properties can always benefit from thoughtful renovations and upgrades. Not to mention, new sites to attract visitors. Such work enhances value, adds flair, and ensures every detail reflects excellence. Isn't this what D.C. should be? Excellence?
True to form, the president has brought his relentless focus on improvement to the nation's capital.
"The National Garden of American Heroes will feature the MOST BEAUTIFUL collection of statues of AMERICAN HEROES, featuring our Illustrious Founding Fathers, Military Warriors, Religious Leaders, Civil Rights Champions, World Class Athletes, Artists, Entertainers, and MORE," the President said.
"The people of America (and the World!) will come here to learn and be inspired by the "Greats," he added. "The National Garden of American Heroes is one more project we are undertaking to honor the 250th Birthday of the Greatest Nation on Earth, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!"
The proposed garden will, in fact, feature statues of 250 significant figures in American history. It's going to be difficult for the media to portray the garden as racist. Oh, they'll try, but it won't be easy.

The list of proposed statues is available here. Rosa Parks? I was reliably informed that this President is the greatest threat to civil rights since the Civil War. Sacagawea? Elizabeth Warren must be happy to see one of her ancestors honored.
Oh, and remember when the media wanted you to believe the administration was trying to erase the Tuskegee Airmen? Benjamin O. Davis Jr., the pioneering leader and commander of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II (and the first black general officer in the U.S. Air Force), is explicitly included on the official list from Trump’s initial executive orders.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be there, as will several sports heroes, including Kobe Bryant and Babe Ruth, as well as several prominent literary figures. As a fan, I'm thrilled to see Edgar Allan Poe will be honored. And as a former resident of good ol' Lansingburgh, New York, I'm excited to see Herman Melville included.
Democrat lawmakers will no doubt argue they have to approve the project; however, $40 million has already been allocated for the National Garden of Heroes in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
The president never tires of making D.C.—and America—beautiful again.
