On a segment with CNN’s Brian Stelter on the stations morning program, New Day, with Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota, the discussion over the Hannity and Donald Trump relationship led Cuomo to point out a rather obvious comparison.

Cuomo brought up the cozy relationship MSNBC Morning Joe co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough had with Trump before and during the 2016 primaries.

“Remember in the days of the glow, [Joe and Mika] had him on, discussed what to talk about in the break,” Cuomo reminded everyone.

“I’m saying what Hannity is doing, I get why it bothers people. But Morning Joe was applauded for its relevancy. We didn’t have is that access because we weren’t mwah mwah mwah with Donald Trump all the time.”

“And now it’s suiting them to do the opposite,” Cuomo added, “that hasn’t been called out either.”

Cuomo was absolutely right to question the similarities. However, he is wrong about the idea no one has called Morning Joe out for this. Many posting here at RedState by myself and my colleagues as well as many other conservative outlets have called them out repeatedly.

Better late than never for CNN, I suppose.
