In the wake of the announcement of the arrest of Tyler Robinson in the shooting death of Charlie Kirk, people on the left seemed to go into overdrive on X, trying to place the suspect on the right.

Many on the left on X on Friday tried to argue the fact that members of his family were Republican/MAGA, made him Republican, despite that being nonsensical, and him being registered as unaffiliated. They even tried arguing he was further right than Kirk, and that's why he didn't like him.

Yet, the messages on the bullet casings included things like "Hey, Fascist! Catch!" and "Bella Ciao," an Italian song dedicated to those who fought against fascism. His family said that he accused Kirk of spreading "hate," not things someone who was MAGA would say. The Guardian also reported that one of Robinson's friends told them he was a leftist.

Then you saw Democratic lawmakers like Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) running from any responsibility for demonizing people on the right.

Democrats weren't quite done yet, as our sister site Townhall reported. Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI) then had a huge copium fit, shades of Hillary Clinton, with her infamous "What difference at this point does it make?"

Warning for graphic language:

What f***ing difference does it make if this murderer was left or right. Pull yourself together, read a book, get some exercise, have a whiskey or walk the dog or make some pasta or go fishing or just do anything other than let this algo pickle your brain and ruin your soul

So, now that the "he was MAGA" gambit isn't working, suddenly what side of the aisle the man is on doesn't matter. When you start emulating Hillary, you have to know you're on the wrong side, paddling upstream.

The left has demonized people on the right for years as "fascists," "Nazis," and "existential threats." It's whipped people up into a frenzy. And unless they realize that's a problem and stop doing it, it will continue to be a problem. They aren't fully acknowledging that it is a problem, even now after the assassination.
