Liz Cheney Throws a Hissy Fit After Bombshell GOP Accusations Against Her

As we reported, the Committee on House Administration's Subcommittee on Oversight has issued a new interim report surrounding the events on Jan. 6, 2021, and the actions of the Jan. 6 Committee.

The report concluded the events were preventable. It alleged that former Wyoming representative Liz Cheney had communicated with one of the witnesses, Cassidy Hutchinson, and recommended that Cheney be investigated for potential criminal witness tampering. It also outlined problems with Hutchinson's claims and said the Committee knew they were false.

Our friends at our sister site Twitchy are reporting Cheney's response to the report and recommendation. It surely sounds like she is pretty worried.

January 6th showed Donald Trump for who is really is — a cruel and vindictive man who allowed violent attacks to continue against our Capitol and law enforcement officers while he watched television and refused for hours to instruct his supporters to stand down and leave. The January 6th Committee's hearings and report featured scores of republican witnesses, including many of the most senior officials from Trump's own White House, campaign and Administration. All of this testimony was painstakingly set out in thousands of pages of transcripts, made public along with a highly detailed and meticulously sourced 800 page report. The Department of Justice conducted its own independent investigation and reached the same fundamental conclusions.

Now, Chairman Loudermilk's interim report intentionally disregards the truth and the Select Committee's tremendous weight of evidence, and instead fabricates lies and defamatory allegations in an attempt to cover up what Donald Trump did.

Their allegations do not reflect a review of the actual evidence, and are a malicious and cowardly assault on the truth. No reputable lawyer, legislator or judge would take this seriously.

Trump of course did call on people at the J6 protests to act peacefully and to go home, so what Cheney is saying here is not accurate.

She says a lot about the number of pages her Committee produced -- but you notice what she doesn't mention?

Anything about the allegations regarding her communications with Hutchinson.

Then too, she claims that "no reputable lawyer, legislator or judge would take this seriously."

I don't think she can know that, but we may find out soon if the FBI takes up the case.

But that little sentence at the end says to me that she's worried that's exactly what may be coming.

Now we'll have to see when/if Joe Biden drops more pardons in January and if he includes her. If he does, he'll probably do it just before Jan. 20, so he can duck any questions while he's still in office. Her name was one of the ones specifically mentioned when reports broke about the consideration of pardons.
