We've heard a lot of unbelievable things from Joe Biden over the past three years. I think I've lost count of how many false things and tall tales he's told. Then there's also his constant confusion, where he gets things wrong because he doesn't seem to know what's going on around him.
But, not only is that a problem for Joe Biden, it's a problem for his team, which then has to give us some explanation or try to clean up the latest disaster. They can't come out and just be straight with us, and say he has deep problems because that would sink his chances in the election. So they have to come up with some of the worst things to cover for him.
During Joe Biden's presser with the Japanese prime minister on Wednesday, along with losing his list of who he was supposed to call on, telling some big whoppers, and reading straight off his notes, he managed to also get the century wrong. That takes some effort. He was asked about the Arizona law on abortion going into effect that dates back to the Civil War.

I don't think anyone wants to elect anyone who doesn't know what century they're in, in addition to all the other problems and bad policies Biden has.
But when asked about Joe Biden's comment by Newsmax journalist James Rosen, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre just doubled down on the ridiculousness. Listen to her excuse for what Biden said. She claims he was "obviously" talking about "2024."
KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: "Obviously [Biden] was talking about 2024..."

Rosen wouldn't accept that and corrected her, "Actually, he was talking about the 20th Century, as I recall."
She can't respond to that, just saying, "Mmmm, mmhmm, okay."
Biden himself made it clear that he was talking about the century, in the context of the question and in his subsequent remarks. Yet, this is the explanation KJP wants to sell us? And we're just all supposed to roll over and accept this, to pretend that he's normal and these kinds of responses to cover for him are normal--when none of it is normal? It isn't just that he has all the issues; it's that they treat us this way with such explanations as well, and expect people to vote for all this. That's the Democrats in a nutshell: hang the truth, whatever we need to say to stay in power, we will.
But Americans are hip; that's why Biden is so low in the polls.
