We've seen over and over again that leftist activists have no shame when it comes to blocking the roads for whatever their cause is this week. The present cause celebre -- the Israel-Hamas war -- means that they feel justified to block you because what they want is axiomatically more important than what you have to do, whatever that may be.
It doesn't make much sense since it's the quickest way to annoy people and turn them off your cause. But who said any of this makes sense? It's about them having an opportunity to throw a tantrum.
We've seen the anti-Israel crowd block people, including a dad trying to get home to his daughter. He gave them a piece of his mind when he ripped into them.
But activists on Saturday who surrounded police in Times Square trying to get through to respond to a bomb threat perhaps win the prize for worst move ever. And it did not end well for them.
Happy Saturday to all! Except the people who thought it was a good idea to block an NYPD ESU vehicle on the way to a bomb threat call. They will be spending their Saturday where they belong - in jail! pic.twitter.com/C0adj5waUj

Today several individuals decided to block a police vehicle ON ITS WAY TO A 911 CALL FOR A BOMB. Thankful that the call was fake. These individuals need to held accountable for the dangerous situation they created. https://t.co/gHs2oXBIoW

This is audio of the NYPD response to a citizens call where they thought they saw a grenade. Thankfully it was fake. But you know what was real ? The danger caused by “protesters” who blocked our emergency response! @NYPDTransit @NYPDChiefPatrol @NYPDChiefOfDept pic.twitter.com/21NpFElt0i

Fortunately the cops were eventually able to get to the Uber with the grenade in the back and it turned out to be inert. But imagine had it not been, and they were blocked from being able to get through by these characters
You can see some of them getting busted here on X, and they were not happy campers about it. They were screaming and freaking out. One girl was screeching, "NYPD, KKK."
They're still throwing a fit now on X about it and there's comment that the people who were arrested are still being held. Good -- they deserve it, they could use a night in jail. If you don't get out of the way of an emergency vehicle, you earn what you get.
Then let's ask, who left the inert grenade in the Uber and caused all this havoc in the first place? Police should check that out too.
