You knew that the liberal media was not going to take former President Donald Trump winning in Iowa well.
Indeed, he not only won, but he won decisively, with more than 50 percent of the vote and by about 30 points. The polls had him up by a lot, and they were right. The Des Moines Register called it a "landslide victory." He was one vote shy of winning all 99 counties in historic fashion at last look.
The ranting petulance of the liberals at CNN and MSNBC regarding the outcome was something else. I wrote about how Joy Reid had a meltdown and claimed white Christians were racist for supporting Trump. But the liberal media was so mad when Trump won they censored Trump's victory speech, something that is generally covered by the news in the normal course of events. Can we talk about election interference when they're so obsessed with their own political agendas that they refuse to cover the actual news?

While Tapper was forced to admit the historic nature of the victory, "biggest victory for a non-incumbent president in the modern era," he talked over Trump's speech, smeared the remarks as "anti-immigrant," and then cut away from it.
CNN's Jake Tapper cuts away from former President Trump's Iowa victory speech immediately after he started talking about President Biden's border crisis.

"Here he is, right now, under my voice. You can hear him repeating his anti-immigrant rhetoric," he decried. pic.twitter.com/1FRLfyj62H
He also insulted the caucus-goers, saying, "caucus-goers believe the lie."
Looks like Jake Tapper couldn't handle the truth.
Then there was MSNBC and Rachel Maddow's rant. They refused to even air the speech at all. She even initially refused to say Trump's name when she spoke about the "projected winner" starting to give his victory speech.
MSNBC completely censored Trump's Iowa victory speech. Rachel Maddow claims:

"It's not out of spite, not a decision that we relish, it is a decision that we regularly revisit and, honestly, honestly, it is not an easy decision."
She falsely claims MSNBC takes care not to air lies pic.twitter.com/bRV0p6qm8D
She claimed there was a "reason" that they and other news organizations stopped giving a platform to unfiltered remarks by President Trump, admitting the effort to censor him.
It's not out of spite, not a decision that we relish, it is a decision that we regularly revisit and, honestly, ernestly, it is not an easy decision. But there is a cost to us as a news organization of knowingly broadcasting untrue things. That is a fundamental truth of our business and who we are.
Now that's just some hilarious nonsense from the network and the host who broadcast so much Russia collusion idiocy. They aren't a news organization; they're a propaganda farm.
Maddow didn't leave it there; she went on not just to attack Trump but Republican voters as well, claiming that they were responsible for the rise of fascism and that the "leader "is interchangeable. Listen to what she's saying here.
Rachel Maddow is having a breakdown after Donald Trump wins in Iowa.
— Jason Rantz on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) January 16, 2024
She went on a weird and unhinged monologue about a conspiracy to install a fascist government. Or something. pic.twitter.com/hBd56z3E7u
She claims that if they are worried about the rise of authoritarianism and their democracy "falling," "People wanting that is a much bigger part of the equation." Sounds like she's spreading more ridiculous conspiracy theories.
But the bigger part of what she's saying makes it clear the liberal media will still try to make you Hitler — that's the point she's making here; whether you are Trump or not doesn't matter. Republicans are all Hitler, according to her. They realize demonizing Trump isn't enough; they have to demonize all the right.
Maddow claimed that "one of those parties" had been "flirting with extremism for a very long time." She means the right, despite the fact that that is fantasyland — despite the hundreds if not thousands of riots and violence by the radical left for years. Yes, there are no doubt some extremists on the right, but on the fringe. Unlike the left, where they seem to be motivating and animating the policies of the Democratic Party. Even now, we see that extremism from the leftist anti-Israel movement who breached the security fence of the White House and threw things at the police.
The liberal media may try to suppress or spin reality, but they got a big wake-up call that the American people reject them in Iowa on Monday night.
