Joe Biden was in Wilmington, Delaware, this weekend. He didn't come back until Tuesday.
While he was there, he was spotted shopping with his son, Hunter Biden.
Hunter defied a congressional subpoena last week. They wanted him to testify behind closed doors about his financial dealings and his father's involvement in those dealings. Instead, Hunter gave a self-serving speech on the Capitol steps. There was also an uproar when White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre admitted that Joe Biden was aware of what his son was going to say. That raised questions about what his role in Hunter's statement might have been and if there was any possible obstruction involved.

But then, when Biden flew back to Washington and took Marine One back to the White House, guess who was on the helicopter with him? Fox's Peter Doocy spotted Hunter Biden, although his name hadn't been listed as part of the company traveling on the vehicle.
Why didn't the White House include Hunter Biden on the list of people traveling with the president?

So reporters asked Jean-Pierre during the briefing on Tuesday why Hunter was not included on the list of people traveling on the helicopter that the White House provides to reporters.
REPORTER: "Hunter Biden and his son were also on the helicopter...The White House provides to the public a list of staffers who travels with the president. Why don't they provide a list of the family members that travel with the president...?"

KJP: "I have to double check..." https://t.co/WvJGqBsire pic.twitter.com/UcLtCHZcKN
"I'll have to double-check," KJP said. I'll bet you do. It's reasonable to infer they didn't want him on the list because they didn't want people to know he was there.
Reporters went there. One said leaving him off the list, given the legal trouble he's in, "would appear to sound like an effort to conceal him." She then asked why does Joe Biden "think it's appropriate that taxpayer dollars should be used to fly him around when he's been indicted and just defied a congressional subpoena?" And may soon be subject to a contempt charge, I might add.
Why does the president think it's appropriate that taxpayer dollars should be used to fly [Hunter Biden] around?"

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: "The president loves his son" pic.twitter.com/7sXoTcTP36
KJP tried to deflect, saying it was a "somber anniversary" for the family. It was the anniversary of the car crash that killed Biden's first wife and daughter. Then she embraced the fallback position of Joe Biden "loves his son." But that didn't answer the question of why they didn't say Hunter would be on the helicopter.
Love means never having to say you're sorry for flying your 53-year-old son on taxpayer-funded aircraft, it seems.
He was also on the plane as well to Delaware and presumably on the way back.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of the car crash that killed Biden’s wife and daughter in 1972, which the family typically commemorates here in Wilmington.

If it had been former President Donald Trump's son in a similar situation, we'd never hear the end of it from the media.
But they probably didn't say anything because they know, given the circumstances, it would look bad if Joe is with Hunter and flying him around because he's blowing off the subpoena. It's clear they don't think you have a right to know how your money is being used or what Joe is doing.
As a Taxpayer ...

I don't love Hunter Biden ...
Therefore I don't believe my money should pay for his travels...🤔 https://t.co/Qs09szfCxy
