Fetterman's Response to Protester When Confronted About Israel Is Comedy Gold

I have to hand it to Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA). We've seen other Democrats on the wrong side of the issue of the Israeli-Hamas war — like the Squad members — and Joe Biden seems to flip-flop around talking about a ceasefire and a "humanitarian pause," which the White House then has to walk back.

But Fetterman and his staff have been remarkably consistent so far in fighting back against a lot of pressure on them from others on the left, and that's causing a lot of leftist meltdowns against him. I've written before about how his staff dispatched leftist activists claiming Fetterman "expelled" them from his office. His staff also carted away an author who confronted him on the topic. He's made very clear he's not supportive of a ceasefire until Hamas is "neutralized."

Fetterman was out at an event campaigning for another Democrat who was running for county executive when he was interrupted by a protester in the audience., who ripped into him, yelling about "4000 plus dead children and 9000 plus dead civilians"  in Gaza and telling him to "get off the stage."

Fetterman hilariously responds, “The joke is on you. I had a stroke. I can’t fully understand what you are saying.”

Oh, my, that's some comedy gold.

That protester was then removed bodily by the police. There was also another protester who yelled "Free Palestine!" and "Ceasefire!" who also left the event after the first one was removed.

Fetterman might have been joking and found a unique way to deal with an obnoxious protester.

But that's also not the response perhaps he thinks it is, admitting he can't understand what's being said from the audience. Rather, that's an indication of a big problem. Not exactly what you want in a senator who's supposed to be able to listen to his constituents and understand what they have to say. Maybe the left should have listened to what the right was saying on the subject during the campaign. Yet he's still making more sense than some on the left on this issue and probably more sense than Joe Biden makes most days, which only goes to show you how low the Democratic Party has fallen.

Moreover, many also pointed out how this admission appeared to contradict what his campaign claimed before the election when they were trying to sell him to the voters.
