You know pigs are flying when you have CNN coming to the table and realizing what a big deal the Durham Report just revealed. We broke down some of the highlights and you can check them and the full report out here.

I noted earlier in my article about the AP how it was actually CNN who came out with the initial straightforward take, while the AP seemed to be downplaying the big points the report made.

Now you have Jake Tapper on his show finally acknowledging how bad this report is.

“The report is now here. It has dropped, and it might not have produced everything of what some Republicans hoped for. It is, regardless, devastating to the FBI,” Tapper admitted. “And to a degree, it does exonerate Donald Trump.”

That’s a lot for someone like Tapper, who hates Trump with the passion of a thousand suns. So for him to admit it, you know how bad it is. But even so, he doesn’t fully go there. It isn’t just “to a degree,” Jake, it completely exonerates Trump. As even CNN admitted in their prior story, the FBI should not have proceeded with the case. They had nothing, yet they proceeded anyway, pushed by their leaders. And the “why” is obvious.

Evan Perez tells Tapper:

“The bottom line finding from John Durham’s four-year investigation is that the FBI moved very quickly to investigate these allegations of connections of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia and that they did so by ignoring a lot of evidence that would have led them to drop that all together. [….]

He goes on to say that the FBI discounted or willfully ignored material information that did not support the narrative of a collusive relationship between Trump and Russia.

Translation: they had nothing. But they did it anyway. They were so desperate to get him, they ignored all the evidence and an FBI lawyer make a false statement so they could get a FISA warrant against a member of the Trump team.

Tapper seems to praise Biden for “allowing” this investigation and the one against Hunter Biden to proceed. It isn’t up to Biden, they’re special counsels — he can’t interfere in them or he would be in further trouble.

He then reads the part of the Durham Report that everyone should take note of: “We conclude that the Justice Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law.”

It’s not just devastating to the FBI, it’s devastating to our system of justice when you can take action like this and manipulate the government to damage political opponents. Trump was right in calling it the “crime of the century” in that there has never been anything like this that I’m aware of in our history. It did such serious harm to our nation, dividing it based on this hoax. We’re still suffering from the harmful effects and there are people on the left who will never accept that it isn’t true because they have been so fully brainwashed for so many years. But part of the reason they were brainwashed is that we had an unquestioning media, including Tapper, who just lapped it up because it fit their narrative against Trump. They’ll try to clean it up now, but we won’t forget.
