The new Democratic House leadership is taking over and fortunately for the country, they are soon to be in the minority. That’s a big difference and hopefully, that means that now there can be a different orientation from the bad policy track they have been taking us down that has led to crushing inflation among other problems. But that doesn’t mean that the new leadership is any better than the old leadership, although I grant you, they are less aged than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), who both decided to step aside when the Republicans won the House in the midterms.
House Democratic leadership for the next Congress is largely set:
Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries
Minority Whip Katherine Clark
Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar
Caucus Vice Chair Ted Lieu
Assistant Leader Jim Clyburn https://t.co/jMRJrFNb5r— Max Cohen (@maxpcohen) December 1, 2022
First, let’s meet them with this picture of the top three that some found a bit creepy. Maybe it was the uneasy grins on all of the three. That’s Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA) [House Whip], Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY)[Minority Leader], and Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA) [Caucus Chair].

Clark went on “Meet the Press” and spoke about their diversity. But what they don’t have is a diversity of thought or diversity of geography. You have them representing the coasts and the coastal leftist elite. That’s a big part of the Democratic Party’s problem. They’re clueless about the center. They don’t represent moderates and they’ve abandoned the middle of the country.
My colleague Mike Miller wrote about the comment that Clark made about her middle child waking up with nightmares because of climate change. If anything, that says something about how she’s raising her child and it’s not good. But there was more paranoia that she was pushing in her remarks.
Incoming House Democrat Whip Katherine Clark concedes "one of the biggest changes is going to be that [Democrats] are coming into this in the minority."

You know, one of the biggest changes is going to be that we are coming into this in the minority, but the commitment that we have had to the people of this country, to workers, to women, to the climate, is going to continue on. And one of the things that the incredible leadership team that is transitioning out of leadership has shown us is how to lead by putting the American people first. But they’ve also given us a model to become our own leaders. And let me tell you what it means to me, coming in as a different generation. I remember my middle child waking up with nightmares over concern around climate change. I’ve had my family at a movie theater, when the movie stopped, my children immediately felt, “There must be a shooter in the theater with us.” These are the type of experiences that we are going to bring, as we continue to push to meet this moment of challenge for the American people with progress.
Alrighty now. She’s making her kid wake up with nightmares and thinking they’re going to turn around and a shooter is going to be there? What a great parent. How can you leave your child in that condition imagining there’s a shooter everywhere?
Aguilar was on “Face the Nation” with Margaret Brennan when he was asked about the border crisis.
New House Democrat Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar says he's "not familiar" with a letter from mayors across the country asking Congress to pass emergency border security measures — even though he's "a member of the Homeland Security Appropriations Committee." pic.twitter.com/DMKhXB0Ubw

Despite being on the Homeland Appropriations Committee, Aguilar said he didn’t know anything about the letter from the mayors asking Congress to pass emergency border security measures.
Meanwhile, the prospective new Leader, Jeffries, was pressed by George Stephanopoulos about his past election denialism, including saying that history would never accept Donald Trump as the legitimate president. Jeffries floated conspiracies about Trump, as well as other elections conspiracies. He even questioned the legitimacy of the Supreme Court.
Incoming House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries responds to Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell accusing him of being an “election denier.”

Jeffries response? He accused the Republicans of everything of which he was guilty.
“Well, here’s the Republican playbook,” Jeffries said. “Facts don’t matter, hypocrisy is not a constraint to their behavior, and in many cases, they believe shamelessness is a superpower.”
Talk about projection — that’s it right there.
He then tried to spin his election denialism.
Well, here’s the Republican playbook, I supported the certification of Donald Trump’s election, I attended his inauguration even though there were many constituents and others across the country pushing me and others to do otherwise, and found ways to work with the Trump administration being the lead Democrat in negotiating historical criminal justice reform.
Here’s just a small sample of that denialism, so he can’t try to argue it away.

It’s ridiculous that Democrats have made “election denialism” a “thing” when they’ve been pushing it for decades, since at least the time of the “hanging chads” after the 2000 election. If they want to make it a “thing,” they have to own all their part of it. They just want to make Republicans questioning “bad.” Democrats questioning for decades is cool.
Radical leftist narratives, ignorance, and election denialism. Welcome to your new Democratic leadership team. And they wonder why Americans are moving away from them.
