I’ve been writing about how the momentum for the Senate seems to have shifted toward the Republicans, after Biden’s divisive Philadelphia speech and his horrible move to bail out student loan debt.
We’ve seen Herschel Walker take the lead in polls in Georgia, and Dr. Mehmet Oz closing the gap on John Fetterman, as more is exposed about Fetterman’s issues. Tedd Budd is running for the Senate seat that had been held by Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), so that’s essential to hold onto that seat. Decision Desk moved that race from a “Toss Up” to “likely Republican” in the last two weeks. At the end of last week, we saw Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) move ahead of Mandela Barnes in the polls in Wisconsin. Since the polls were way ahead for Johnson’s opponent the last time he ran, yet he still won, now that he’s up in the polls, that’s an extremely good sign.
But one of the races that the GOP establishment hadn’t held out a lot of hope for to start with was the race between Blake Masters and Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ). Now that didn’t seem to make a lot of sense, because that’s an area and a race the GOP could pick up. But they weren’t putting all the money they could into the race. But other groups stepped in to fill the void.
Lot of hay has been made about the fact that the Senate Leadership Fund has pulled its September ad reservations for Blake Masters.
But the OTHER Republican groups have now made up that gap entirely. https://t.co/fuxWUwelNu

Masters has been steadily gaining on Kelly and now, the latest news has got to be shocking for the Democrats — he’s only 1.2 points back in the new poll from the Trafalgar Group.

Kelly has 46.6 percent to Masters’ 45.4 percent, with 5.3 percent of people undecided. That’s a statistical tie and with a red wave, Kelly could be toast. That’s from starting way back of Kelly –by double digits.
Part of that is not only Masters’ gaining ground with people liking what they’re seeing from him, but also Kelly properly getting tagged with Biden’s failures; he’s gone along with them and hasn’t called Biden out. Biden’s actions are going to hurt a candidate like Kelly in a purple state like Arizona.
Here’s Kelly stumbling all over himself, trying to avoid commenting on Joe Biden’s job performance.
Look at Mark Kelly squirm when asked if Biden is doing a good job.
“Hey, I th-, you know, I, uh, you know, I, it, first of all” 🥴
Senator: Biden’s record is YOUR record. Can’t hide from that now pic.twitter.com/spZa0ioEKU

If you can’t even stand up and give a clear opinion on Biden, because you don’t want to say he’s bad– but you also don’t want to lie and say he’s good–Arizonans will know you are lying. You don’t deserve to win. You have to have the ability to stand up for the people in your state, and he can’t even do that–if it means calling out Biden and his record for going along with Biden.
