The ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley (R-IA), is a rather sober character. But as we noted, he laid out some grave concerns about the politicization of the DOJ — not only regarding the Hunter Biden case but in the way they were closing down other cases that should be continued and opening up other matters on a flimsy basis, such as opening up cases regarding Donald Trump based on liberal media reports.
"This goes beyond Hunter Biden, this goes to more the broader issue of whether or not there are people in the Justice Department that are closing down cases that should be continued because of political influence," Sen. Chuck Grassley tells Newsmax's @Greta Van Susteren. pic.twitter.com/N5qlv7FCpO

This is a great concern — it can undermine the very nature of our system.
Grassley’s letter indicated that investigations may have been opened or shut down on a politicized basis through gatekeepers like the Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the Washington Field Office, Timothy Thibault, according to the whistleblowers.
3. Then, on Monday, Grassley revealed that several #whistlelowers had come forward to detail how systemic political bias infects the @FBI and @TheJusticeDept through gatekeepers like Thibault and others who decide what gets investigated and what doesn’t. pic.twitter.com/bFa2ALSfgF

5. The #whistleblowers also reported a long history of “double standards” by Thibault and others in election-related cases, suggesting @TheJusticeDept and @FBI “have failed to prevent political bias from infecting the process and procedure to open and pursue investigations.” pic.twitter.com/dqWS2NZ6ez

6. So insiders are now raising “fundamental questions” about DOJ’s “impartiality” to Senate oversight authorities.
Yet @washingtonpost left its readers in the dark on the WB’s claims about Thibault’s role in this politically charged probe.

Grassley said he was told by FBI Director Wray that Thibault had been re-assigned but the question is: How deep does all this go? There are more issues than just one guy.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the whistleblowers are also saying that the FBI is pressuring agents to artificially pad the domestic violence extremist stats, even if the cases don’t meet the requirements to be so classified. The Biden team has pitched that domestic extremism is the biggest threat to the country and this is allegedly padding the stats to match that narrative.

According to the whistleblowers, awards and promotions are tied to these metrics.
According to the letter, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said they were hearing about the effort to purge conservatives from the ranks of the FBI under Biden.
Talk about a need to clean out the swamp — it’s going to need a deep disinfectant to get back to some semblance of objectivity, if that’s even possible at this point, given how much it appears to have become politicized. It says something about how deep and disgusting this has to be that you finally have whistleblowers saying: “enough.”
Republicans need to take back the power in November and threaten to cut their funding unless they clean house completely.
