As we previously reported, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was mocked by comedian Alex Stein, who made comments about her “booty” as she passed by him going up the Capitol steps. She later had a meltdown over it, saying that she had intended to “deck” him, and blasting the Capitol Police for–in her estimation–not protecting her/doing anything about it.
On Wednesday evening, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, “I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame.”
“It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad,” she added. The congresswoman subsequently posted video of political satirist Alex Stein mocking her as she walked near him on the Capitol complex.
She commented, “Here is a video he posted of the incident. I was actually walking over to deck him because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today.”
She was the one who approached him and flashed a peace sign. He did not approach her or threaten her.
Many pointed out how hypocritical she was–that she mocked Justice Brett Kavanaugh for being harassed by protesters, even after Kavanaugh had faced an assassination threat, but she has a huge problem with someone making a nasty remark near her.
It turns out that she called the police on Stein, not just once but five times, according to what she told a reporter.
AOC called the cops 5 times because @alexstein99 told her she has a nice ass but mocked Brett Kavanaugh when a left wing mob forced him to leave through the back of a restaurant. pic.twitter.com/UzA1ndqEBe

She also asked to speak to “female and LGBT reporters to warn us that the man who harassed her is affiliated with credentialed news outlet.” So, she only wanted to complain to reporters other than men?
On top of that, she used it to attack the Capitol Police–and complain that they had opened the doors on Jan. 6 for people, so she didn’t trust them.

You can hear someone trolling her even on this video; when she says “insurrectionists,” the person says “Antifa.”
Nice of her to confirm that fact (although she wasn’t even in the Capitol building at the time of the riot). The Jan. 6 Committee isn’t going to like that, because they like to forget that little fact — that many people were let in. The Capitol Police came to her office (a half a mile away) on Jan. 6 to ensure her safety, and she even attacked them over that.
But now, the Capitol Police are responding with a statement about the incident with a little reality, in the face of AOC’s freak-out.
Here’s what the Capitol Police had to say about last night’s incident with @AOC :
“…The comments, although inappropriate, are not criminal. In the video, the man never threatened or touched the Congresswoman…”

It wasn’t criminal, and he didn’t threaten her. They even stopped him for her and ran his information, even though it wasn’t a crime. Yet still, it wasn’t enough for her and she falsely acted as though they hadn’t responded at all. But they weren’t holding back the truth because it was her–and she’s still blowing a gasket over it.
FYI we had to escalate to House leadership to get them to stop him and run his info. They did not until members intervened and pressed them to.

But this is AOC — nothing in proportion to reality and exaggerating a nasty comment into a full-blown threat, taking up the time of House leadership and the Capitol Police. This, all at the same time as she mocks the SCOTUS justices — who are under real threat.
