During the 2020 presidential campaign in one of the debates, Joe Biden claimed that his son never made any money from China.
Joe Biden in 2020 insisted Hunter “has not made money” from China.

“My son has not made money in terms of…China,” Joe Biden said.
This was obvious nonsense, given Hunter’s deals with the Chinese, as we’ve reported in the past.
But now, NBC is reporting just how much money Joe Biden was lying about.
From 2013 through 2018 Hunter Biden and his company brought in about $11 million via his roles as an attorney and a board member with a Ukrainian firm accused of bribery and his work with a Chinese businessman now accused of fraud. [….]
Biden made $5.8 million, more than half his total earnings from 2013 to 2018, from two deals with Chinese business interests.
Biden’s most lucrative business relationship was acting as a consultant in a project with a company that belongs to a once-powerful Chinese businessman who is now thought to be detained in his homeland.
According to business records referred to in the Senate report, Hudson West III, a venture funded by the Chinese oil and natural gas company CEFC and its chairman, Ye Jianming, paid $4,790,375.25 to Owasco P.C. over about one year.
Filings with the Washington, D.C., government show Owasco P.C. is controlled by Hunter Biden. [….]
In 2018, Chinese prosecutors accused Ye Jianming of “economic crimes,” including alleged fraud and bribery, and detained him for questioning. He hasn’t been seen in public since.
NBC said it wasn’t clear what he was being paid for. The only deal that they could track — a potential gas deal on Monkey Island in Louisiana — didn’t go through because it didn’t make any sense, they note. So exactly why was Hunter getting this boatload of money? NBC did report that he was spending upwards of $200,000 a month with reckless spending and cash withdrawals.
We previously reported two years ago, that not only did Ye have ties to the Chinese Communist Party and the military, he had business dealings with “Kremlin-controlled companies and Kremlin-aligned businessmen,” and served as “China’s unofficial bridge to Russia on energy.”
In March, we reported about Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) dropping the receipts on the direct line of credit given to Hunter’s firm from CEFC, which Grassley called “effectively an arm of the communist Chinese government direct to Hunter Biden.”
At one point, Hunter also asked for office nameplates where he was renting offices for “The Biden Foundation and Hudson West (CEFC),” with keys for Joe Biden, Jill Biden, Jim Biden, and Gongwen Dong — who he labeled as “Ye CEFC emissary.” But he thereafter left those offices and didn’t go through with setting up such a shared office.
Tony Bobulinksi had also come forward in October 2020 and said that Joe Biden was the “big guy” referred to in the emails about getting a percentage of the joint venture deal they were working on with CEFC.
NBC’s new story also talks about the ‘work’ Hunter Biden did for another associate of Ye’s, Dr. Patrick Ho.
A jury found that Ho, while working for CEFC, bribed or attempted to bribe officials as much as $2 million. He was sentenced to three years in prison in March 2019 and then expelled from the U.S. at the end of his prison term.
Federal court filings and emails on Biden’s hard drive indicate Ho was employed by CEFC and was an associate of Ye. Ho worked on the failed Monkey Island project.
Hudson West wired Biden’s company, Owasco, $1 million from Hudson West III in March 2018 with a memo line for “Dr Patrick Ho Chi Ping Representation,” according to the Senate report and emails on the Biden hard drive.
Biden never made an appearance on the docket in Ho’s case, and there are no emails on his laptop that indicate he was involved in the legal strategy of the case or drafted any legal documents outside his suggestion of whom to use as Ho’s counsel.
So, the question becomes: Why did Joe Biden lie about this? What was he trying to cover up? Did he get a percentage of any of this money? It doesn’t look like Hunter did much for the money, which raises the flag yet again over what he was truly getting paid for, and raises a lot of national security questions. We’ve known Joe lied for two years now, but this does show how much money was hidden behind that lie. So, will NBC now follow up with Joe Biden and ask him why he lied about this?
