As I previously reported, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) joined a protest action in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Saturday night and made inflammatory comments, saying the jury in the Derek Chauvin trial needed to bring in a verdict of “guilty, guilty, guilty,” and that people needed to “stay in the streets.” “We’ve got to get more confrontational,” Waters declared. “We’ve got to make sure they know that we mean business.”

After her comments, early Sunday morning, someone then shot at members of the National Guard in Minneapolis about five miles from Brooklyn Center. Two Guard members were injured.
Many people, including many Republicans, blasted Waters, calling her comments improper and inciting violence.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said she would be introducing a resolution to expel Waters and asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) a question.
Very soon I'll be introducing a resolution to expel @RepMaxineWaters from Congress for her continual incitement of violence on innocent American people.
Rep Waters is a danger to our society.

.@SpeakerPelosi you impeached President Trump after you said he incited violence by saying “march peacefully” to the Capitol.
So I can expect a yes vote from you on my resolution to expel @RepMaxineWaters for inciting violence, riots, and abusing power threatening a jury, right?

“Speaker Pelosi, you impeached President Trump after you said he incited violence by saying “march peacefully” to the Capitol,” Greene declared. “So I can expect a yes vote from you on my resolution to expel @RepMaxineWaters for inciting violence, riots, and abusing power threatening a jury, right?”
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said that if Pelosi didn’t act on Waters, he would.
Maxine Waters is inciting violence in Minneapolis — just as she has incited it in the past. If Speaker Pelosi doesn’t act against this dangerous rhetoric, I will bring action this week.
— Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) April 19, 2021
Looks like McCarthy is going to have to start that action because now Pelosi’s response to Greene’s question is in.
Was there ever any doubt that Pelosi would be a raging hypocrite and have no issue with Waters’ comments?
“Should Maxine Waters apologize?” Pelosi was asked. “Absolutely not,” she responded.
Pelosi tells @AnnieGrayerCNN that Waters should NOT apologize for saying protestors should “get more confrontational” if Chauvin is acquitted. “No she doesn’t,” she said when asked if Waters should apologize. “Absolutely not,” she said when asked if her comments incited violence

“Maxine talked about confrontation in the manner of the Civil Rights movement. I myself think we should take our lead from the George Floyd family. They’ve handled this with great dignity and no ambiguity or lack of misinterpretation by the other side,” Pelosi said

“No, no, I don’t think she should apologize.”
— Manu Raju (@mkraju) April 19, 2021
Talk about offensive. Pelosi is trying to use both the Civil Rights movement and George Floyd’s family as cover for Waters’ remarks.
Please tell us how you get much “more confrontational” than burning down parts of cities last year? And if that wasn’t enough how you are going to “show them we mean business”? This is a “mostly peaceful” spin by Pelosi. Does she think America didn’t see what happened last year?
Elected Democrats and activists seem to support riots and destruction of property as long as it's not their own! https://t.co/FIvttB9Rv4
