As we previously reported, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) went to Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, just outside of Minneapolis, yesterday and joined a protest over the shooting of Daunte Wright. She said that she planned on staying in the area until Monday and the closing arguments in the trial of Derek Chauvin.
While there, she called for a guilty verdict in the Chauvin case over the death of George Floyd. She said that if they didn’t get a guilty verdict, the protesters cannot go away. Waters was then asked what should the protesters do. She replied that they should stay in the streets. “We’ve got to get more confrontational,” Waters declared. “We’ve got to make sure they know that we mean business.”
Later that night, really more early Sunday morning around 4:20 a.m., someone did get “more confrontational.”
According to WCCO, someone fired at members of the Minnesota National Guard in north Minneapolis. The members of the Guard were “providing neighborhood security,” along with Minneapolis police officers, when someone shot at them from a white SUV. Two members had minor injuries, one of whom was hit by shattered glass and taken to the hospital. It wasn’t clear what the other injury was, but fortunately, it was said to be superficial, according to Stripes.
We don’t know yet who shot at the Guard member, and thank God they’re going to be okay. But now that Waters inserted herself, one has to ask if she will be held accountable for what may result.
If a Republican had done anything close to what Maxine Waters did, this would now be all over CNN, with Chris Cuomo and Brian Stelter blaming her for the shooting. This is actual incitement, not trying to twist and parse words into a pretzel ‘incitement.’ So, will she now be banned from Twitter and all social media for her words? Will there be a move to impeach her? You and I know the answer is no.
Folks on the right were not shy about calling out Waters for conduct unbecoming a member of Congress.
“Telling rioters who have burned buildings, looted stores, and assaulted journalists to get ‘more confrontational’ is incredibly irresponsible. Every House Democrat should condemn Maxine Waters’ call for violence,” National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Mike Berg said to Fox News.

The Radical Left don’t care if your towns are burning, if there’s violence in your streets, or if the police are too defunded to defend their communities.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said in a tweet Sunday that she would be introducing a resolution to expel Waters, claiming Waters comments demanding a guilty verdict by the Chauvin jury were an “abuse of power” and her comments were inciting violence.
Very soon I'll be introducing a resolution to expel @RepMaxineWaters from Congress for her continual incitement of violence on innocent American people.

But it’s not likely to go anywhere because of the Democratic majority in the House.
