The Huge Scandal Behind the 'Virus Relief' Bill: Pelosi, Schumer and the Unions

We’ve been talking about how bad Joe Biden and the Democrats’ ‘virus relief’ bill is for the American people. But as we said only a small amount is actually going to the American people for relief.

We’ve spoken about how it is pork. But it’s even way beyond the normal pork the Democrats usually put forward, it’s truly a scandal, paying off Democratic agenda items and/or Democratic failures with our taxpayer dollars to solidify their power.

For example there’s a huge $86 billion bailout of union pensions. What does any of this have to do with the virus?

Rather, the $86 billion is a taxpayer bailout for about 185 union pension plans that are so close to collapse that without the rescue, more than a million retired truck drivers, retail clerks, builders and others could be forced to forgo retirement income.

The bailout targets multiemployer pension plans, which bring groups of companies together with a union to provide guaranteed benefits. All told, about 1,400 of the plans cover about 10.7 million active and retired workers, often in fields like construction or entertainment where the workers move from job to job. As the work force ages, an alarming number of the plans are running out of money. The trend predated the pandemic and is a result of fading unions, serial bankruptcies and the misplaced hope that investment income would foot most of the bill so that employers and workers wouldn’t have to. There’s no requirement to pay any of it back and no requirement to change their way of doing things that caused the problem to begin with. So basically billions of our dollars, your money, just went to bail the unions out. It’s a huge payoff from the Democrats.

Shockingly, suddenly San Francisco, the city where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) lives, got a huge pay out, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The “stimulus” will “erase the majority of San Francisco’s projected $650 million budget deficit over the next two years, saving City Hall from having to make painful service cuts and layoffs — for now.” Again, this bailout is without any requirement to reform anything they’re doing that has put them in that position to begin with.

But that’s not all, check out what New York, the state of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) got.

The $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package passed by the US Senate wipes out New York State’s projected budget deficit — possibly negating the need for hefty tax hikes or spending cuts, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s office said Monday.

“Ok. Thanks to @SenSchumer NYS budget deficit for this year is…..Zero, nada, niete, zilch (NY terms),” Schumer spokesman Angelo Roefaro tweeted.

No, that’s our money you’re taking based on a lie, that it’s virus relief. And she’s saying it like we should all be thanking Schumer for this. They’re basically taking your money and bailing out the failures of themselves and their buddies without any consequences while bragging about doing it, telling you they’re ‘helping Americans’ and consolidating their own power.

That’s not all. They’re not even finished yet. Nancy Pelosi is saying they may need two more such bills. If they didn’t get every agenda item and pay-off in this one they’re going to try to get it in the next ones.
