Hey, Democrats, this sure looks like another effort at voter suppression by folks from your side of the aisle.

When are leading Democratic politicians going to start strongly condemning this stuff?

Patrick Bradley was leaving a polling place at Windham High School in New Hampshire after voting in the primary. When he walked by a nearby Trump campaign tent, he allegedly then assaulted a 15 year old Trump supporter who was wearing a MAGA hat, slapping him across the face. Two other supporters tried to intervene to help the boy and the man also allegedly attacked them.

According to police, Bradley also thew Trump campaign signs and tried to knock over the campaign tent.

Bradley was arrested by Windham Police and charged with three counts of simple assault as well as disorder conduct.

The boy’s mother, Cathy Campbell told Fox News that her son had been very excited to see Donald Trump, Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle earlier in the day before the attack and that he was “over the moon” because he was the “most patriotic kid you’d ever meet in your life.”

From Fox News:

“My son was standing outside on the sidewalk and he said ‘have a nice night,’ he said it to everyone. But this man was triggered,” Campbell explained. “He said ‘f— you’ to him and wound up his hand as fast as he could and slapped him across the face.”

Campbell said that a man, also wearing a MAGA hat, came over to intervene. According to Campbell, that man now has a fractured jaw.

Campbell told Fox News that her husband is a firefighter in town and was on duty during the incident.

“He got the call about the assault and didn’t know it was our son until he got there,” she explained.

“He’s the sweetest kid,” Campbell said of her son. “He was so excited and not realizing that something like this could happen.”

She said now however, her son was “pretty traumatized” and noted that they attacker lived in their town which was “unnerving.”

She added: “It’s scary that you can’t express without which political party you are. People need to know how much intolerance there is right now.”

“It sickens me that people would be angry at a kid for wearing a stupid hat,” she said. “And everybody that has reached out has just talked about what an amazing kid he is.” [….]

Campbell also explained that she and her family are “Republicans, and we are Trump supporters.”

Both Donald Trump, Jr. and former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski called out the violence.

Corey Lewandowski told Fox he’d been at that polling place earlier that day. “My 8-year-old was holding a sign an hour before that,” Lewandowski said. “It’s appalling and disgusting that someone is attacked physically for supporting the president of the United States, let alone a child.”

This follows another attack this past week where a man drove a van into a campaign tent with Trump supporters registering people to vote in Florida. The man said he “didn’t like Trump” and had to “take a stand.” Fortunately the volunteers were able to get out of the way and no one was hurt.
