Democrats have shown signs of melting down over Attorney General William Barr daring to investigate the origins of the Russia probe and appointing U.S. Attorney John Durham to take on the task.
Both Barr and Durham had spotless records until they made it clear they intended to do a real investigation into what the Obama administration, FBI and CIA had done. Since then, they, and in particular Barr, have come under constant smears and attacks by Democrats.
Eleven Democrats capped that off today with a letter written to Barr, demanding that he and Durham both resign.
The letter accuses Barr of having “inappropriately interfered in independent Department of Justice investigations and intentionally used your positions to mislead the American public in defense of President Donald J. Trump.”
Check it out, it was posted by Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Guam might tip Over) and it’s pretty hilarious.

But imagine for the moment if President Donald Trump had sent a letter like this?
Democrats would be adding another article of impeachment faster than you could spit, screaming “obstruction” and claiming law enforcement was being intimidated to stop a lawful investigation. But Democrats don’t see how they’re doing that here.
The Democrats are upset that Barr previously said that there had been “spying.” But Barr also said that he had to investigate if there was adequate predicate/if the investigation was legally justified. Democrats themselves promote a “conspiracy theory” or at least “fake news” that the IG report concluded that was “inaccurate.” On the contrary, the IG report found there was surveillance by wired “confidential human sources.” So whatever you want to call that, most Americans would call that spying. The report also made clear that while the initial start of the investigation met the low threshold to start, a lot of the subsequent actions was not so clear, full of lies and mistakes.
They were also upset that Durham dared to say that he had access to more information than did IG Horowitz because Durham wasn’t restricted, he could subpoena witnesses, call a grand jury and conduct international investigations.
Of course, that’s what they’re really concerned about. Because it’s evident that Durham is on the track and he made it a criminal investigation. Both Barr and Durham are committed their oaths. So Democrats are stepping up their attacks.
From Townhall:
“Mr. Barr, your course of conduct makes clear your allegiances is to Donald Trump over the Department of Justice and the American people that you serve,” the letter said. “You are unfit to hold the position of Attorney General and your dedication to eroding public trust in our legal systems represents the antithesis of what a Justice Department official should be. Mr. Durham is equally as complicit in this mission and together your actions demonstrate that neither of you possess the integrity necessary to serve in the Department of Justice.”
“For those reasons, we demand your immediate resignation as Attorney General and that of U.S. attorney Durham,” the letter concluded.
The letter was signed by Reps. Hank Johnson Jr. (D-GA), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), William Lacy Clay (D-MO), Jared Huffman (D-CA), Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), Steve Cohen (D-TN), Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), David Ciccilline (D-RI) and Jan Schakowsky (D-IL).
So how do you think Bill Barr should respond?

His response will be coming with Durham’s investigation and it sounds like it’s going to be a good one.
