I'll venture a guess that most Americans, be they mainstream Democrats or Republicans, have grown beyond bored by the left's ridiculous ad nauseam efforts to compare President Donald Trump to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
There's little doubt that not only have the ridiculous attacks not hurt Trump and the Republican Party, but instead the ill-advised Hitler references have backfired spectacularly on the Democrats themselves.
Yet, Democrats are gonna Democrat — so the silly Hitler comparisons continue.
In response to construction beginning this week on the Trump-led $250 million White House ballroom, it didn't take long for Hollywood celebrities — has-beens included — to go full-metal apoplectic, with even Mia Farrow crawling out of the left-wing woodwork to ridiculously declare on Bluesky — the left's echo-chamber alternative to X:
Hitler had a large ball room/ reception hall built at the Old Reich Chancellery in Berlin This was part of a major renovation of the building after he became Chancellor. It was designed by Albert Speer and completed in 1939.
Uh-huh, Mia — and your mom wears combat boots. (Sorry, I got caught up in the moment.)

Here's the Thing:
Every time the left trots out the Hitler analogy, they prove several things.
First, they continue to destroy their own credibility.
Second, they bastardize history, perhaps leaving younger Americans who don't loathe Trump to wonder if Hitler was really that bad of a guy, after all.
Third, when everything Trump does is "fascist" or "Nazi-esque," et al., those terms become meaningless.
And fourth, they do a great disservice to Jews — particularly those whose ancestors perished during Hitler's Holocaust.

Here's the Other Thing:
The disconnect between the Democrat Party and everyday America continues to worsen.
As untold numbers of our fellow citizens continue to face inflation, job insecurity, rampant crime, and other real-life issues, the left's hysterical Nazi analogies continue to prove that the Democrat Party has zero to offer them — other than trashing all things Trump and his policies with the most incendiary, yet hilariously unfounded, hate speech they can muster.
In another Hollywood meltdown, 83-year-old singer and actress Barbra Streisand fumed:
While the government is shut down, Donald Trump is destroying part of the East Wing of the White House, the people’s House, for his unwanted ballroom. Who is paying for this atrocity?
Welp, Babs, I'm glad you asked.
Last Wednesday, Trump hosted a donor dinner for the individuals and corporations who are contributing to the construction of the White House ballroom, including representatives from Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Meta Platforms, Alphabet’s Google, Apple, and Amazon, among others.

And with respect to "the people's house," Trump is far from the first president to renovate the White House. Check it out:
In 1902, the White House reached a new level of prominence. [T]he goal was to expand the White House’s footprint, according to the White House Historical Association, as the property itself was the landmark of official society in the United States. Most notably, this work brought about the famed West Wing, which today houses the Oval Office.
In 1942, the White House grew as the government did. President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s administration saw the monumental addition of the White House’s East Wing for additional office space — and staff members to fill it.
In 1962, Jacqueline Kennedy’s famed Rose Garden became one of the White House’s most cherished features. She didn’t create it, but rather expanded and transformed it into a space fit for official events, according to the historical society — and its look was inspired by French and English designs.
After taking office in 2009, President Barack Obama renovated a tennis court to be used for both that and basketball. Inside, he added a rug featuring a Martin Luther King Jr. quotation: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”
Not to digress, but the notion of Obama embracing "the arc of the moral universe ... bending toward justice" almost made me spit iced tea all over my computer.
Spoiler, My Democrat Friends: MAGA Loves It
The results of the 2024 general election — from Trump's historic win, to the multiple successes of down-ballot Republican candidates — provided ample proof that the more the Democrat Party trotted out absurd epithets against Trump and MAGA, the better it was for conservatives, and indeed the country as a whole.
Ironically, the silly Hitler comparisons proved to America that it's been Trump who fights against an increasingly volatile group of radicals who, yeah — hate Trump more than they love America.
So in the end, comparing Trump to Hitler doesn't make this president look like a dictator; it makes Democrats look like vacant, historically-ignorant, political hacks — which is exactly what many of them are.
