Oops: Nebraska Chamber of Commerce Told Walz to Stop Lying About Receiving Award

Is there anything that Democrat Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz won't lie about in an attempt to portray himself as someone he's not? Rhetorical question—of course not. When a dude reduces himself to stolen valor in an effort to make himself look like a military hero (which he clearly is not), anything is on the table.

With that reality a given, let's take a trip on the Wayback Machine to 2006 when Walz was running for Congress. The Minnesota included a line in his biography in which he claimed he had received an award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce for his service to the business community.

Just one problem. It never happened.

Moreover, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce sent Walz a letter demanding that he stop lying about the nonexistent award — and also informed Walz that it had endorsed his opponent.

November 1, 2006

Dear Mr. Walz:

It has come to my attention that as part of your campaign for Congress, you have posted your biography on your website that claims you received an Award from the Nebraska Chamber of Congress for your service to the business community.

I have been President of the Nebraska Chamber of Congress since 2000 and a professional staff person for the Nebraska Chamber of Congress for over 20 years. We researched the matter and can confirm that you have not be the recipient of an award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce.

I'm not going to draw a conclusion about your intentions by including this line in your biography. However, we respectfully request that you remove any reference to our organization as it could be considered an endorsement of your candidacy.

Oops, Tim. What the, bud?

Then it got even more what should have been embarrassing as hell for Walz; the chamber informed him that it had in fact endorsed his opponent.

It should be pointed out, however, that the U.S. Chamber of Congress has endorsed your opponent, Congressman Gil Gutknecht, for his support of small business issues.

Sincerely,

Barry L. Kennedy,

CAE President

Walz was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for Minnesota's 1st congressional district in 2006, defeating Gutknecht, the six-term Republican incumbent.

Yet, Walz thought lying about receiving an award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce was necessary? Who knows what goes on in that guy's lying mind? And what will continue to go on in his lying mind if he becomes the vice president of the United States?

In Other Tim Walz News

Walz will hook up with Democrat Presidential candidate Kamala Harris next week and launch a bus tour of southern Georgia. That should be interesting. Look for fake accents, fake moves to the center, fake claims of patriotism, and plenty of fake promises — amid all the blatant lies, of course.

The Harris-Walz campaign said in a press release announcing the tour:

Campaigning in this part of the Peach State is critical as it represents a diverse coalition of voters, including rural, suburban, and urban Georgians — with a large population of Black voters and working class families.

Uh-huh. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz appealing to — much less giving a damn about — rural Georgians. Can't make it up, and can't wait to see the video clips.

The Bottom Line

Once a liar, always a liar. The fact that this axiom applies to not only the Democrat presidential nominee but to the party's vice presidential nominee as well should be a warning to honest Americans across this great country that neither one of these dishonest posers should be anywhere near the White House and the reins of executive power.
