MSNBC Hack Lawrence O'Donnell's Rationalization of Why Cohen Stole Money From Trump Is Too Funny

In this episode of What the Hell Was Alvin Bragg Thinking?...

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's criminal prosecution of former President Donald Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with a "hush money" payment to former "adult film star" Stormy Daniels has been a pathetic cartoon from the outset— with the disastrous testimony of Trump's former personal attorney and "fixer" Michael Cohen as the dumpster fire "star witness."

As RedState reported on Monday, Trump's defense team backed Cohen into a corner and forced him to admit that he stole tens of thousands of dollars from the Trump organization.

Clearly, convicted felon Cohen is a disgrace— and a serial liar at that.

Ahh, but au contraire, thinks MSNBC's self-proclaimed socialist hack Lawrence O'Donnell, who has been in the Manhattan courtroom nearly every day. O'Donnell on Monday actually tried to defend — let's call it "irrationally rationalize" — Cohen stealing money from Trump. As the MSNBC wingnut sees it, Cohen didn't actually steal from Trump; he simply tried to "rebalance the bonus he thought he deserved."

The shocking thing at the end of that cross-examination was stunning. He [Trump defense attorney] sat down and ended his cross-examination without asking a single question about the 130 thousand dollars that appears on [ex-Trump CFO] Allen Weisselberg's notes about how they were structuring the payments to Michael Cohen.

He asked about the 50 thousand dollars that's irrelevant to the 130 thousand dollars, and that's where he very effectively got Michael Cohen to say— to agree that yes, he stole 30 thousand dollars. Later, when Cohen was asked about that on redress by the prosecution, it didn't really sound like stealing 30 thousand dollars.

It sounded a lot like Michael Cohen doing the little that he could within that calculation to rebalance the bonus he thought he deserved. And it still came out as less than the bonus he thought he deserved and the bonus he'd gotten the year before.

 Umm...

So let's extrapolate O'Donnell's ridiculously biased twisted "logic."

If life was about stealing things we thought we deserved, how would that work out? From individuals to corporations to countries, how would that end?

The questions are rhetorical, of course, and they illustrate the bizarre mindset of the TDS-riddled left and its desperate efforts to destroy Donald Trump in November— which is not likely to happen.

Why not? Two words: Joe Biden.
