Let's just get this out of the way right at the top: House Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) is a joke. If you look up the definition of "hypocrite," his picture is there. OK, not really, but you know what I'm saying. This article is a perfect case in point.

So Jeffries, "without a shred of evidence," with a straight face, claims — despite an ever-growing mountain of evidence to the contrary — that Republicans attempting to hold embattled Joe Biden to account for his proven lies about his deep involvement with his ne'er do well son's overseas business nonsense is an "unfortunate abuse of the solemn and serious impeachment authority." 

Two words: How so?

These people are ridiculous. What evidence was there that former President Donald Trump did anything worthy of impeachment? Twice. Zero, Nancy Pelosi, and you knew it both times. 

Yet, from phone records to text messages to bank records and canceled checks, the evidence against Joe Biden continues to pile up. Yet, Jeffries continues to get out over his skis beyond buffoonery about the whole thing, lie after lie.

In other words, the top guy in the House Democrat caucus has zero shame.

Ironically, earlier this year — prior to the horrific October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas in Israel, Jeffries said on the House floor that "extreme MAGA Republicans don't want the children of America to learn about the Holocaust" as he disgustingly defended a book that Republicans were seeking to ban in schools that details the "horrors" of the atrocities.

He lied. No Republican in Congress came even close to saying that.

Will Reinert, National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) press secretary, immediately blasted Jeffries for what he called a "disgusting lie." 

"Hakeem Jeffries must immediately apologize for his disgusting lie. The Democratic caucus is full of defenders of extreme anti-Semitic comments -- highlighted by the vote to keep Ilhan Omar on the Foreign Affairs Committee," the NRCC said Friday.

Twitter users also questioned the Democrat for his comment, with one user saying, "What the hell is this guy talking about? What Republican ever said this?"

The Bottom Line

Democrats like Hakeem Jeffries play only to low-information, rank-and-file Democrat voters. They — Jeffries and his ilk — know they're liars, and even worse, they lie on purpose because they know that the Democrat base is clueless and loves every minute of it.
