Maryland Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin showed up on MSNBC’s “All in With Chris Hayes” Tuesday to tag-team with the condescending host in a preposterous effort to defend embattled President Joe Biden, whose mental acuity appears to be swirling down the toilet as fast as his worse-than-dismal approval rating.

And what better way for Democrats and their “mainstream” media sock puppets to defend Biden and the multiple Biden Family Business scandals, including bribery allegations, than by attacking Donald Trump?

Oh, and call Trump a “kleptocrat” (Biden was unavailable for comment).

With the walls continuing to close in on Biden, Raskin told Hayes that Republican investigators are “grasping and straws,” before deflecting the attacking Trump.

Really what we see is a [sic] grasping at straws in attempts to find something, anything to get at Joe Biden. Why? Because it is a massive distraction from the fact that Donald Trump had one overriding purpose for being in office and one overriding purpose for coming back into office.

He had a moneymaking operation. He converted the presidency into an instrument of profit maximization for himself and his family any wants to keep this grift going. So there’s gotta be an effort to bring down Joe Biden by putting him in the same category which is ridiculous and it is not convincing to the American people.

There’s that Democrat “The American people” thing, again, as if the entire U.S. population believes the left’s misdirection, obfuscations, and bald-faces lies, all concocted in various efforts of revenge, defense, and pushing the radical Democrat agenda. And what better way to do so than by attacking the Devil’s own spawn?

Raskin continued:

We are still in the thick of this fight to defend American democracy and democratic institutions against the autocrats and the theocrats and the kleptocrats like Donald Trump. I am exactly where I need to be as the ranking Democrat at [sic] the Oversight Committee.

When we win the House back in 2024 and we will, I will be the chair of the Oversight Committee. I want to see this through. I want to make sure that we will win the House back and going [sic] all across the country to campaign for fellow Democrats.

Notice what Raskin didn’t say? What he didn’t offer a single word about? The Democrat hatchet man didn’t offer a single defense or rebuttal against the evidence that Joe Biden likely received millions of dollars tied to — at least — a bribery scandal.

As reported by my colleague Nick Arama in early June, former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr ripped Raskin to shreds as he destroyed Democrat talking points about bribery allegations that Joe Biden allegedly received $5 million in exchange for actions he took while he was vice president and that his crackhead son Hunter also received $5 million.

And in April, as reported by my colleague Susie Moore, House Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) slammed Raskin for “playing lawyer for the Biden family instead of engaging in real oversight for the American people.”

When the facts don’t go the Biden family’s way, Ranking Member Raskin lodges baseless accusations. But unlike Ranking Member Raskin’s distortions, bank records don’t lie. Just a few weeks ago, when making public the Oversight Committee’s first subpoena to a bank, Ranking Member Raskin tried to brush away the documents as just purchases at Papa John’s and Starbucks, conveniently omitting, as just one example, a Chinese company’s $3 million wire to an associate of the Biden family who proceeded to transfer more than $1 million of it to various Biden family accounts.

Given his antics with the first bank subpoena, the American people and media should be asking what information Ranking Member Raskin is trying to hide with his latest distraction. No one should be fooled by Ranking Member Raskin’s games. We have the bank records, and the facts are not good for the Biden family.

Raskin might be a snake, but he’s far from a stupid snake.

The disingenuous attorney-turned-politician knows full well that every word Comer said is correct— and then some. As I suggested, earlier, the more the walls close in on Biden, the more preposterous the Democrat deflection and lies become.

The Bottom Line

One of the adages of competitive sports is that a good defense beats a good offense every time. In Jamie Raskin’s case, his defense of Joe Biden never left the bench.
