WHO's Tedros Fearmongers Again: World Should Prepare for 'Even Deadlier' Pathogen Than COVID

(WHO)

These people are never going to stop, are they?

World Health Organization (WHO) head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus not only warned on Monday that the threat of another public health crisis should not be kicked “down the road,” but the longtime fearmonger also ominously warned that the next pathogen to strike the planet could be “even deadlier” than COVID.

The World Health Organization? Same people who warned in March that “millions” will die from eating too much salt without government intervention. Please.

Anyway, while speaking before the WHO forum in Geneva, Dr. Tedros warned:

The threat of another variant emerging that causes new surges of disease and death remains. And the threat of another pathogen emerging with even deadlier potential remains. We cannot kick this can down the road. ‘When the next pandemic comes knocking – and it will – we must be ready to answer decisively, collectively, and equitably.

Ah, there’s that word: equitably. As the left reminds us, daily, everything on the planet must be equitable; by the left’s definition, of course. I could continue, here, but thankfully, self-restraint keeps me from doing so.

Although, I do wonder if the COVID Gnome™, Anthony Fauci, upon hearing the “good news,” immediately laced up his running shoes to race to the nearest TV camera when that “next pandemic comes knocking.”

Tedros’ comments came after the WHO earlier this month declared that COVID was no longer a public health emergency on a worldwide level. How convenient, huh? Why, you don’t suppose— oh, never mind.

Here’s more, via Daily Mail:

The WHO has identified nine priority diseases that pose the biggest risk to public health. They were deemed to be most risky due to a lack of treatments or their ability to cause a pandemic. COVID [remains] on the list.

[…]

The UN health agency has also warned about “Disease X,” reflecting the fact that the next pandemic could be caused by a pathogen currently unknown to cause human disease.

“Disease X.” How ominous.

Then again, if the planet is going to be stricken by an “even deadlier” pathogen than COVID-19, you have to have an ominous-sounding “working” name for it — before it happens — then you give it an even more terrible-sounding name when (if) it does. [rolling-eyes emoji]

So here’s the thing — at least one of many.

The left hyped the ever-loving hell out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Draconian lockdown mandates were imposed, wherever and whenever Biden and the Democrats could get away with them. Then the misnomered “vaccine” and subsequent “boosters” arrived, which led to post-vax complications, including fatal reactions, and further reckless rules and regulations that were imposed on the American people.

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch recently penned a blistering opinion about the country’s pandemic response — primarily forced by Democrat politicians, mostly on the advice of the COVID Gnome — as one of “the greatest intrusions on civil liberties in the peacetime history of this country.”

Gorsuch wrote:

Executive officials across the country issued emergency decrees on a breathtaking scale. Governors and local leaders imposed lockdown orders forcing people to remain in their homes. They shuttered businesses and schools, public and private.

Fear and the desire for safety are powerful forces. They can lead to a clamor for action — almost any action — as long as someone does something to address a perceived threat. A leader or an expert who claims he can fix everything if only we do exactly as he says, can prove an irresistible force.

[Another lesson was that] the concentration of power in the hands of so few may be efficient and sometimes popular. But it does not tend toward sound government.

Amen. So excuse us, Dr. Tedros — and maybe it’s just too soon — but please spare us such talk of the next “armageddon” before, or if, it even happens. Besides, how are supposed to “prepare” for something that hasn’t happened, when we don’t even know what it might be if it does?

Oh, wait— mask up, right? Yeah, no.

The Bottom Line

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? That one would be on me.
