Noted Energy Expert AOC Claims Gas Stoves Cause Brain Damage, Gets Mocked to Smithereens

As a political pundit, there’s nothing better than firing up the computer in the morning, looking for the first thing that trips your trigger, and running across a beaut from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Genius; N.Y.).

The minute you lay eyes on it, the headline instantaneously pops into your head, and the article begins to write itself, as the gleeful anticipation within you builds. Welp, such was the case this morning when I ran across yet another brilliant declaration from the erstwhile bartender: Gas stoves, now “shockingly” under fire from our fossil-fuels-hating president, cause brain damage. No, really. Per AOC, that is.

So let’s back up the gas-powered bus, for a minute.

As reported by Fox News on Wednesday morning, Rich Trumka Jr., one of five commissioners of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), suggested that an outright ban on new gas stoves was on the table amid growing concerns about indoor air pollutants, according to several reports.

Given that 40 percent of U.S. households have gas appliances, according to Jill Notini of the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers, Trumka’s statement rightly set off a firestorm on social media, with keyboard jockeys instantly running with it and making dire predictions. (In other words, doing what they always do.)

As a result, Trumka on Monday “clarified” his previous statement. That, or backed off (lied) for the sole purpose of mollifying the low-information crowd.

To be clear, CPSC isn’t coming for anyone’s gas stoves. Regulations apply to new products.

For Americans who CHOOSE to switch from gas to electric, there is support available – Congress passed the Inflation Reduction Act which includes a $840 rebate.

In other words, the CPSC would really like it if you tossed your gas stove into the trash for the mere bribery payment of 840 bucks.

Anyway, now that that “misunderstanding” has been cleared up, we’re good then, right? Yeah, no.

Nonetheless, as we reported on Wednesday, Joe Biden’s government is now considering banning gas stoves, presumably in response to Trumpka’s first statement. Not because the CPSC convinced the energy-hating president to do so, mind you, but because — per the infamous observation admonition of former Bill Clinton official and miserably-failed mayor of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel — never let a good crisis go to waste — be that crisis real or concocted.

So then along comes our favorite left-wing genius, AOC to once again get way out over her skis, this time in response to a Monday tweet by Rep. Ronny Jackson, (R-Tex)., in which he said he would never give up his gas stove.

While various studies have shown that emissions from gas stoves can lead to asthma in young children and some adult cancers, AOC’s generalized claim is over the top, yet once again shows how little the Instagram star knows, but is either clueless of the relative facts or just doesn’t care — while her only objective is forward her fruitcake agenda.
