Executive-order-drunk Joe Biden continued his blistering pace on Tuesday, signing three more orders, pushing his total to 45. As the backlash continues to grow over his “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone” presidency — made infamous by Barack Obama — Biden attempted to explain his continuing flurry of non-legislative mandates.
Joe being Joe, you can imagine how that went.
As Joe ‘splained, he’s not trying to rule by edict at all, America. No way. Joe — out of the goodness of his heart — is just doing us a favor by eliminating ‘”bad policy.”
“I want to make it clear: There’s a lot of talk with good reason about the number of executive orders that I have signed. I’m not making new law. I’m eliminating bad policy.
“What I’m doing is taking on issues that 99% of them that the president — the last president of the United States — issued executive orders I thought were very counterproductive to our security, counterproductive to who we are as a country.
“Particularly in the area of immigration. This is about how America is safer, stronger, more prosperous when we have a fair, orderly, and humane legal immigration system.”
The claim is ridiculous on its face. Every Democrat president who succeeds a Republican president — and vice versa — thinks his predecessor’s policy was “bad policy.”
President Biden: “There’s a lot of talk, with good reason, about the number of executive orders that I have signed. I’m not making new law. I’m eliminating bad policy.”

And by “eliminating bad policy,” Biden means “eliminating all-things Donald Trump”; which, by virtue of Trump, everything he accomplished as president was “bad policy.”
Biden also talked about Trump’s immigration policy, as reported by The Blaze, and made sure to bust out the Democrats’ fave buzz phrase while doing so.
“We are going to work to undo the moral and national shame of the previous administration that literally, not figuratively, ripped children from the arms of their families … with no plan, none whatsoever to reunify the children who are still in custody and their parents.”
“Moral,” Joe? Same guy who calls abortion-on-demand an “essential health care service.”
Incidentally, I wonder if whoever wrote the “ripped children from the arms of” line gets a royalty every time a Democrat parrots it. If so, we’re talking some serious cash, here.
Check out how CBS News spun the crap out of it.

Anyway, Twitter had some thoughts on all that “bad policy” Joe is eliminating.
IDK. I don’t consider reversing the order to withdraw troops from Afghanistan good policy.

Except for the EO that says men get to play on women’s athletic teams and take women’s scholarships. That was new law.

Keystone was bad policy even when Obama State Dept said it would reduce carbon emissions?

He just canceled Trump’s $30 Billion to help farmers. 1st gasoline, now food.

And Big Daddy AU nailed it.
“In other words, reverse Pro-American Trump policy?”
As I said at the top, “bad policy” in the minds of the Left is synonymous with “Trump policy.”
In other words, reverse Pro-American Trump policy?

As awesome as Biden is at signing executive orders with the intent of canceling all things Trump, when it comes to keeping his campaign promises, not so much.
The next round of stimulus checks is a perfect example.
Those $2,000 stimulus checks that nominee Biden said were going to “fly out the door on day one” not only haven’t flown anywhere; he now says $1,400 checks will eventually be distributed, bringing the total to $2,000 when combined with the initial $600 checks.
And, as my RedState colleague Brandon Morse reported earlier on Wednesday, Biden is open to limiting who qualifies to receive the next round of stimulus checks.
Democrats being Democrats. It’s a thing.
