Justice Department Targets Americans With New "Domestic Terrorism Unit"

The Department of Justice has created a new “domestic terrorism unit” that will supposedly address the alleged rise in domestic terrorism, according to Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen.

On Monday, Olsen held a press conference to announce the newest DOJ weapon against American dissenters. The announcement had chilling undertones, as Olsen outlined exactly who is considered a threat under their current guidelines.

The attacks in recent years underscore the threat that domestic terrorism continues to pose to our citizens, to Law Enforcement Officers, to public officials and to our democratic institutions. Based on the assessment of the intelligence community, we face an elevated threat  from domestic violent extremists, that is individuals in the United States, who seek to to commit violent criminal acts in furtherance of domestic social or political goals and personal goals. Domestic violent extremists are often motivated by a mix of ideologies and personal grievances. We seen a growing threat from those who are motivated by racial animus, as well as those who described to extremist anti-government and anti-authority ideologies.

Given the terrifyingly Orwellian “school board memo” that saw the DOJ and the White House coordinating with the NSBA to label parent pushback across the nation as terrorism, it is quite clear who this new unit will aiming their power toward. It won’t be people who drive their SUVs through crowded parades at Christmas time. It won’t be men who throw little boys off the balconies of malls, or Democrat sympathizers who attempt to murder members of congress at their annual baseball games. It won’t be sexual predators and gang members streaming across the southern border to claim asylum and then wreck havoc. No, it won’t be any of these threats.

The “threat” is you. The “threat” is parents who push back on creeping Critical Race Theory in public schools – “racial animus” – and people who protest mask and vaccine mandates or other government overreach – “anti-authority.”

Unless you’re burning down neighborhoods and churches in the name of Black Lives Matter. Then you’re not a threat, you’re mostly peaceful.

It is truly both horrific and alarming that while actual terrorism has reached our shores, the DOJ has now codified parental displeasure with public school officials and curriculum as equal to ISIS and Al-Qaeda. Olsen was careful to mention international terrorist groups in the same breath as “anti-authority” groups in America.

At the same time, we remain vigilant to the persistent and dynamic threat from international terrorist groups, such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

This was not an accident. The intention is to associate mom jeans and peaceful protests with some of the most vicious terrorism in the world.

The “elevated threat” is that a growing number of American citizens are beginning to finally actively participate in the legislative process by showing up and shouting out. The current administration fully intends to use the force and power of the government of the United States to intimidate and threaten citizens engaging in their constitutional rights. This is all a part of the “J6 Agenda” and it is pathetic, infuriating and possibly illegal.

Just look at the reaction Senator Ted Cruz gets when he tries to inquire as to the FBI’s involvement in the Capitol events last January.

Clearly a strategy is afoot here to paint dissenting Americans as violent threats, marginalize critics of government, and threaten the safety and constitutional rights of Americans by “otherizing” their complaints and pushing them to the fringes of society. It is also the creation of yet another bureaucracy that we will now never be rid of.

And what happens if you oppose the creation of another government unit that has the sole job of monitoring the speech and actions of citizens who critique the ruling party?

Well, that makes you a domestic terrorist too.

Welcome to the club.
