The controversial Dakota Pipeline and the long sought-after Keystone Pipeline could be approved via executive order today, according to reports. Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg posted the scoop on Twitter this morning.

Fox News later seemed to confirm the reports.

And then it become official. The signing is set for 11 a.m. this morning.

It would be big news for U.S. energy, but with the signings come waves of environmental activists who oppose them and will ramp up their protests of both pipelines.
The Keystone Pipeline was a long fought battle that received numerous favorable reports from environmental officials. The Dakota Pipeline is incredibly controversial because of the claim that it would harm Native American reservation land.
