SecWar Pete Hegseth Gives Sara Jacobs a Lesson on What Hypocrisy Looks Like

Democrat Rep. Sara Jacobs (CA-51) is a dim bulb at best, a disingenuous hack at her worst. Like Democrat Rep. Melanie Stansbury (NM-01), she is used because she's youthful, plays to the camera, and will spout whatever hyperbolic nonsense she's fed.

At Wednesday's House Armed Services Committee hearing, this is how Jacobs wasted her time when given the opportunity to question Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Jacobs began, "Do you believe that the president is mentally stable enough to be Commander-in-Chief?"

Seriously?! There are consequential questions concerning Operation Epic Fury, the DOW staff that have been removed, or anything relevant to SecWar's role. Instead of actually engaging her brain and asking questions that her constituents in a defense area like San Diego would be interested in hearing the answer to, Jacobs doubled down on TDS.

Totally on brand.

Hegseth didn't even bother to address her TDS-riddled question. He countered with a legitimate ask: "Did you ask the same question of Joe Biden for four years?" Hegseth said.

Of course, Jacobs was taken aback. The ensuing exchange was pretty epic.

JACOBS: Mr. Secretary, Joe Biden is not the president. Mr. Trump has been president for a year-and-a-half and I'm asking you right now.

SECWAR: You did not, and I won't even engage with the level of disparagement that you're putting on the Commander-in-Chief who indeed... I mean, I meet with him every single day —

JACOBS: Mr. Secretary, Biden is not the president!

SECWAR: Every single day, he's the the sharpest, most insightful Commander-in-Chief we've had for generations, and you want to compare... and you want to ask that question after you and your fellow Democrats defended Joe Biden who could barely speak, and didn't know what day of the week it was. He governed with autopen! You had a Secretary of Defense who went AWOL for a week. I can't be gone for 10 minutes without —

Jacobs realized that she had punched above her weight and was being pummeled, so she demanded, "I will reclaim my time!"

Chairman Mike Rogers (AL-03) threw Jacobs a bone and said, "The Lady is reclaiming her time," but not before Hegseth ended the exchange with two words: "Stop it!"

That's bound to leave a mark. Jacobs was genuinely shocked that she was called out on her stupidity.

WATCH:

This is to be expected from a woman who rode into her congressional seat on the 2018 "Blue wave" that flipped many formerly red California seats. San Diego used to be ruby red, but between dark money, ballot harvesting, and a Democrat supermajority that used fraudulent means and targeted the area for progressive turnover, it is now a blue stronghold. They are desperate to keep it that way by even more nefarious means, like CA Gov. Gavin Newsom's gerrymandering scheme, Prop 50.

Jacobs grandfather, Qualcomm co-founder Irwin M. Jacobs, and her parents practically funded her campaign. Now, this cabal is funding the campaign of Jacobs' boyfriend, Ammar Campa-Najjar, for the newly-drawn (thanks to Newsom and Prop 50) 48th Congressional district seat.

A San Diego-based billionaire has pumped money into the race, too. San Diego philanthropist and Qualcomm founder Irwin Jacobs cut a $500,000 check last month for an outside group backing Campa-Najjar. Jacobs’ granddaughter, Rep. Sara Jacobs, is Campa-Najjar’s longtime partner.

Does Jacobs want to save on D.C. rent by having her boyfriend there? Because it's clear with her family and their money, they are trying to make fetch happen. According to local reporting, Campa-Najjar has run for office three times, and each campaign has been funded by Jacobs and Co

Democratic heiress Sara Jacobs and her billionaire family have blown more than $200,000 on her boyfriend’s doomed political career, which includes three failed campaigns and a history of confusing flip-flops that now has fellow Dems praying for him to drop out of a key midterm race.

Jacobs, granddaughter of Qualcomm founder Irwin Jacobs and a congresswoman since 2021, has thrown her vast family fortune behind her fickle partner — even co-hosting a pricey campaign lunch with her grandfather, with tickets up to $7,000.

Campaign records show the loaded Jacobs clan — including the congresswoman’s grandfather, parents, uncles and siblings — showering Campa-Najjar’s current campaign for California’s 48th district, representing eastern San Diego.

The patient family has donated at least $73,000 since August.

Ammar Campa-Najjar's background is even more suspect: He is the grandson of a Palestinian militant assassinated by Israel, and is presently under scrutiny about his misuse of his military status

Jacobs, her boyfriend, and their ilk are as dangerous as they are dumb. Between the potential of a Republican taking over the California governorship for the first time in 15 years and the Supreme Court's decision in Callais v. Louisiana, which has upended racial gerrymandering, it could serve to neuter the ascension of these types to Congress from the once Golden State.

Ma tha Siobhan (if God is merciful).
