Fauci Backpedals on Domestic Vaccine Mandates as Southwest Airlines Has to Cancel More Domestic Flights

Dr. Anthony Fauci, whose opinions shift with the wind depending on what the Biden administration wishes him to do, has shifted on the definitiveness of Dementia Joe imposing vaccine mandate requirements for domestic air travel.

In a September 19 visit with Chuck Todd of NBC’s Meet the Press, Fauci was asked about a domestic airline vaccine mandate. Fauci replied,

“We have not yet gotten to the point of requiring vaccinations on domestic flights. But everything is on the table. We consider these things literally on a daily basis.”

Almost a month later, Fauci went on CNN’s State of the Union, to downplay the definitiveness of such a mandate:

From Just the News:

Dr. Anthony Fauci says he does not expect a vaccine mandate for Americans flying domestically in the near future.

“It’s always discussable. We always wind up discussing it,” Fauci said Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union. However, he continued, “I don’t see that immediately.”

Fauci first floated the idea of vaccine requirements for domestic flights last month during an appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, and has since said he would support the idea during various media interviews. But he sounded a slightly different tune over the weekend.

“I don’t want to say support or not. I think it’s a decision that’s made by input from a number of parts of the government, including public health,” he said.

“I don’t want to be weighing in, because we wind up then having people taking things out of context,” he said, adding the relevant bodies “have everything on the table.”

That would be a change, as the Faux-ci loves to weigh in on most everything that has to do with your freedom and liberty. Fauci was recently burned because of his holiday diktats. After saying in early October that it was “too soon to tell” whether Americans could have a normal holiday, he received proper pushback on social media, causing him to sing a different tune:

“I will be spending Christmas with my family,” Fauci told CNN. “I encourage people, particularly the vaccinated people who are protected, to have a good, normal Christmas with your family.”

Oh, we plan to; vaccinated or not. Thank you so much, Lord Fauci for approving our plans!

Bless your heart….

As per usez, he blamed “misinformation” and that his comments were “taken out of context.”

Uh huh.

On Monday, Fauci argued that his comment from the previous day had been “taken completely out of context.”

“I was asked, ‘What could we predict for this winter for like December and Christmas?’” he claimed. “I said, ‘We don’t know because we’ve seen slopes that went down and then came back up. The best way to assure that we’ll be in good shape as we get into the winter would be to get more and more people vaccinated.’

“That was misinterpreted as my saying we can’t spend Christmas with our families, which was absolutely not the case,” Fauci insisted before lamenting: “The way all of the other disinformation goes around, you say something talking about a landmark of a time, and it gets misinterpreted that I’m saying you can’t spend family Christmas time, which is nonsense. You can.”

So this sudden shift on domestic airline vaccine mandates is just another day in Fauci-world. As one of his chief antagonists KY Sen. Rand Paul (R-Hero) often points out, Fauci lies:

On the one hand, Fauci has to toe the party line on the vaccine mandates being inflicted on businesses by the Biden administration:

Several major U.S. airlines are requiring that their U.S. employees be vaccinated against COVID-19, including American Airlines, JetBlue, United, and Southwest. In late September, United Airlines – the first of the major airliners to make COVID vaccines a requirements – said it was prepared to terminate hundreds of employees who chose not to take the shot.

On the other hand, he stuck his finger in the wind, and realized it’s not blowing in favor of these mandates. Southwest pilots are leading the way in giving their own middle finger to these company mandates, as my colleague Nick Arama reported here and here.

So far, it’s pilots and certain FAA ground staff who are choosing to take some much needed sick time. After all, if they’re fired, they won’t be paid for any time accrued anyway:

And this pilot lays out firsthand why it matters that someone stand against these mandates sooner, rather than later.

Word on the street is that United Airline pilots are planning a similar tactic, to show their solidarity. This is the modern-day equivalent of the shot heard round the world. We have a Revolution, and we need to ensure it continues to build.

We know this for sure: Fauci will revise his “advice” several times over, dependent upon how long these battle go on. I’m all for keeping him twisting in the legacy media wind.
