Republican Florida Rep. Byron Donalds spoke to the Daily Caller about the Left’s outrage and racist rants against South Carolina Senator Tim Scott’s Republican response to Biden’s State of the Union address.

[…] Donalds slammed liberals after Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott was dubbed “Uncle Tim” following a Wednesday night speech.

The hashtag “Uncle Tim” began trending on Twitter after Scott declared the U.S. was not a racist country.

“I find it to be outrageous and disgusting,” Donalds said regarding told the Daily Caller’s Brianna Lyman.

He said:

“As a black conservative, the person that is the greatest threat to me and my colleague Sen. Scott is white liberals, because they have no tolerance for a black man who doesn’t agree with their liberal ideology, and so, they will use frankly racist terms like Uncle Tim or Uncle Tom, and they get no pushback at all.”

Actually, the greatest threat to Blacks in particular, and America in general, is the white Left. “Liberal” is too broad of a term that incorporates people who consider themselves moderate. Leftist are clear in their intent to transform and change society toward their goals — Constitution, be damned.

This all started long before President Lyndon B. Johnson, but his 1964 Great Society/War of Poverty initiatives encapsulate much of the good intentions of white Leftists trying to help Blacks.

Blogger Mark Alexander wrote succinctly about Johnson’s lofty speech at that time, and how the fallout has been anything but:

‘For in your time we have the opportunity to move not only toward the rich society and the powerful society, but upward to the Great Society. The Great Society rests on abundance and liberty for all. It demands an end to poverty and racial injustice, to which we are totally committed in our time. But that is just the beginning. The Great Society is a place where every child can find knowledge to enrich his mind and to enlarge his talents. … [There are] three places where we begin to build the Great Society — in our cities, in our countryside, and in our classrooms.’

By all rational measures, Johnson’s Great Society was, and remains, anything but. It has proven a tragic failure on all counts, unless you are counting Democrat votes. His War on Poverty quickly morphed into a war on individual responsibility and self reliance, a war on free enterprise and ingenuity, a war on family and faith, a war on education and accountability, a war on inner city and rural achievement alike, and a war on economic sustainability and financial solvency.

It still has not gone well, which is why people are apoplectic over Sen. Tim Scott’s response. Scott called out the failure and hypocrisy of the white Leftist packaged within supposed “helps”.

This whole menthol cigarette nonsense is the current poster child of these attempts. My colleague Jeff Charles satirically skewers the White Leftist, paternalistic infantilization of Blacks in his piece.

The fact that the majority of people using the “Uncle Tom” and “Uncle Tim” slur on Twitter were white journalists and activists speaks volumes, like this “Entertainment and LGBTQ Contributor” proves:

Not to be outdone in Black infantilization, this one assumes the very white Stephen Miller must have written Scott’s speech for him.

Note: the following tweet contains foul language.

As this smart Silver Patriot posted, Malcolm X was prescient on this subject (and many others). His words ring truer today than they did when he originally spoke them.

And Malcolm didn’t just called “white Liberals” the enemy of the Black man, but all of America.

“The white liberal is the worst enemy to America, and the worst enemy to the black man.”

The Left is not your friend. Wake up, people.
