Trump Has Had It, Issues Blistering Ultimatum to California Schools That Defy His Trans Policies

The battle continues between President Donald Trump and the No-Longer-Golden State of Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom over the left-wing insanity of male athletes pretending to be female athletes competing against actual female athletes in female sporting events.

Before we jump into the latest news on the above, let's first catch up.

First, the Department of Justice in early July sued California for violating Title IX by allowing males to compete in female sports:

According to the complaint, the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) have engaged in illegal sex discrimination against female student athletes by allowing males to compete against them, depriving these girls of the equal education and athletic opportunities afforded to them by federal civil rights law. Thus, the suit seeks declaratory, injunctive, and damages relief for violations of Title IX, which prohibits sex-based discrimination in any education program or activity that receives federal funding.

Title IX was enacted over half a century ago to protect women and girls from discrimination. The Justice Department will not stand for policies that deprive girls of their hard-earned athletic trophies and ignore their safety on the field and in private spaces,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon. “Young women should not have to sacrifice their rights to compete for scholarships, opportunities, and awards on the altar of woke gender ideology.

Newsom in early March said it was "deeply unfair" for so-called "transgender" athletes to compete in female sports — in a clear effort not to tick off either side.

And as RedState reported earlier this month, while the Kern County Board of Education in central California has voted to comply with the federal government's interpretation of Title IX, state officials nevertheless "rigorously committed" to keeping males in female sports until at least the end of this school year.

Boom: Trump Administration Files Title IX Lawsuit Against California

In other words, it's a mixed bag at best. For those who abhor the obscene practice of males beating the crap out of females in sporting events, that is.

So, where is Trump on the current "trans" thing in California? In a word — actually, four: He has had it.

The President on Thursday fired up his Truth Social account and posted an ultimatum to schools that continue to defy his Title IX interpretation and related policies:

Any California school district that doesn’t adhere to our Transgender policies, will not be funded. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Incidentally, I'm not sure if "Thank you for your attention to this matter!" has any impact on the intended targets of Trump's posts, but I love every minute of it. After all, no one in the history of American politics trolled like our 47th president trolls — and I say that as a total compliment.

So What About the Rest of the Country?

In a recent "trans" case, as RedState reported on Wednesday, five Northern Virginia school divisions must now request reimbursement for all federal education funds  — and will be classified as "high risk" with respect to future federal funding — for violating Trump's order that students use the restrooms and locker rooms that correspond with their biological sex. As a result, the Department of Education is putting the school systems on notice.

Secretary of Education Linda McMahon made the announcement Tuesday:

This action is being taken after all five Divisions have been found in violation of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX). The Department found the Divisions in violation of Title IX last month for their policies allowing students to occupy intimate facilities based on “gender identity,” not biological sex. The Divisions refused to sign the Department’s proposed Resolution Agreement to voluntarily resolve their Title IX violations by last Friday’s (August 15th) deadline and have instead chosen to remain in violation of Title IX.

Does it ever hit you how insane this whole "transgenderism" farce has become? Me, too.

In an executive order signed by Trump in February, he made his point crystal clear:

It is the policy of the United States to rescind all funds from educational programs that deprive women and girls of fair athletic opportunities, which results in the endangerment, humiliation, and silencing of women and girls and deprives them of privacy.

Amen — which I say for various reasons.

The Bottom Line

Trump was clear in February, and here we are, some six months later, and he's issuing in effect the same ultimatum.

It's time for action. Too many young female athletes have suffered defeat — and some of them, serious injuries, as well — to larger, stronger, or faster males. That is obscene. It's past time for it stop.
