Much of the hard left’s approach to the issues of the day is contradictory and often inconsistent. But when your only principle involves amassing as much power over others as possible, consistency isn’t all that important. We see a glaring example of this in the ongoing debate over sexually inappropriate material being provided for children in public schools and libraries.
To begin with, the American Accountability Foundation (AAF), which has often made headlines for exposing inappropriate content in classrooms and libraries, recently announced that it was being shadowbanned and its content being throttled on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Dear friends, as we battle the radically woke American Library Association, we are working to expose the full truth. But after we posted images of the LGBTQ books they are pushing on our children, X (Twitter) hit our account with a "sensitive content" warning on ALL OUR MEDIA POSTS, and shadowbanned our account so that you won’t find us in a search on X.
Then, there was the spectacle that occurred at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday in which Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) read aloud excerpts from LGBTQ young adult books, including “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” and “Gender Queer,” both of which include graphic depictions of sexual activity.
The lawmaker read these excerpts to illustrate the material that is being presented to children in schools and libraries. Yet, Democrats in the upper chamber had a complete meltdown about it, arguing that showcasing that type of content in a formal setting is not acceptable.
People were outraged that Sen. John Kennedy would share such disgusting, sexualized content during a Senate hearing...

Lastly, we have a man in Texas being forcibly removed from a school board meeting for doing the same that Kennedy did in the Senate. He read from a graphic novel titled “Flamer,” which has come under fire for its explicit content tailored to LGBTQ youth. Apparently, the school board did not think it was appropriate to have this material read aloud at such a gathering.
A man was forcibly removed by security at a Texas school board meeting Tuesday night as he attempted to read an LGBTQ graphic novel from the podium.
A video of the incident posted to social media by Paul Leavitt shows the unidentified man begin reading an excerpt from the graphic novel "Flamer" by Mike Curato, in which a character asks, "Who wants my hot wiener?"
One Fort Worth Independent School District board member abruptly slams down her gavel and calls for security. As the man begins reading from the following page, an officer walks across the room, where he is met by two other security personnel.
The three officers surround the man who holds onto the microphone and continues to read. People in the audience begin shouting over one another and the board member slams her gavel repeatedly.
The American Library Association (ALA), whose president was recently caught on tape arguing that libraries should be turned into “sites for socialist organizing,” issued guidelines that have influenced many libraries. It urges them not to remove books that contain sexually inappropriate material under the guise of ensuring that politics does not play a part in determining which books are allowed to be featured on the shelves.
The question that rational people would ask when seeing all of this is: Why do folks on the left believe this material should not be shown or read aloud in Congress, a school board meeting, or on social media when they argue that it is completely appropriate for minor children to be consuming this content in public schools and libraries? How is it that they do not see the contradiction here?
In this way, progressives are talking out of both sides of their mouth, shutting down adults exposing this material while vociferously arguing for its inclusion in institutions that have kids under their care. The answer why is clear: They do not want parents to know what is happening in their schools and libraries. Democrats and their close friends and allies in the activist media have been defending this practice by lying about it instead of coming up with arguments that would justify exposing children to this content.
When folks like Kennedy or individuals like the man in Texas show what is in the books leftists so desperately want small children to read, it wakes people up to the agenda that is being advanced in the classroom and libraries. The more people know, the more who will push back on the Marxist agenda in schools, which involves sexualizing children. The progressives can’t have that now, can they?
