Rapper Nicki Minaj found out what it’s like to be a conservative on social media. Twitter recently suspended her for her tweet expressing skepticism about the COVID-19 vaccine.

On Monday, Minaj ignited a social media firestorm when she posted a tweet claiming a friend of her cousin’s in Trinidad became “impotent” and “his testicles became swollen” after taking the jab. The artist received even more vitriol after she tweeted a video of Fox News’ Tucker Carlson defending her right to express skepticism about the injection.

On Monday, Minaj posted on Instagram letting her followers know that she was in “Twitter jail” because of her comments about the vaccine. She wrote:

I’m in Twitter jail y’all. They didn’t like what I was saying over there on that block, I guess my poll was gonna be Asking questions is OK I like being fkng dumb then boom. Can’t tweet

Later, she filmed a live video in which she said:

Look at what they just did. I will never use Twitter again.

While her account and tweets are still up, she has not been able to post anything since earlier on Wednesday. It appears the Twitter thought police were rather concerned about Minaj’s reservations about the vaccine. Indeed, the left had a collective meltdown when she posted the tweet even though she said in a subsequent post that she recommends that people take the vaccine.

MSNBC media activist Joy Reid even did a segment on her show in which she lied about Minaj’s stance on the injection. Minaj’s clapback against the media activist was quite fierce. Dr. Anthony Fauci and Terrence Deyalsingh, Trinidad’s Health Minister both stated that swollen testicles are not a side effect caused by the COVID-19 vaccine.

In another development, it appears the artist might be headed for the White House soon. In another tweet posted before her suspension, she wrote:

The White House has invited me & I think it’s a step in the right direction. Yes, I’m going. I’ll be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde so they know I mean business. I’ll ask questions on behalf of the ppl who have been made fun of for simply being human. #BallGate day 3

It is not clear whether she will meet with President Joe Biden or another member of his administration. But it will be quite entertaining to see how that particular conversation goes.
